Absolutely loved the salsa in this recipe. Tasted very fresh and healthy. I broiled the steak which came out to be very bland and chewy like some of the other reviewers posted. Maybe a different cut of meat would have been better. The spices for the rub didn't do much for the steak as I would of hoped.

I LOVE this taco recipe. We just came back from a very authentic Mexican restaurant and this recipe tasted fresh enough to have been on their menu. The Avocado Lime Salsa is to die for with the cucumber. It gives a cooling sensation which is helpful here in the Deep South during the summer. I also bought the tortillas at a local Mexican market which gave the tortillas a more 'earthy' flavor than your traditional American brand tortillas. Heated them up in the microwave and they were just fine.

We had this recipe this week and loved it. When I looked at the recipe for the salsa I didn't know if it would work but it was very tasty. We had lots of the salsa left after finishing our tacos and ate it with chips. I added a bit more salt and pepper on both the steak and in the salsa.

Everything was great. The combination of the steak and the avacado salsa was fantastic. The avacado salsa took most of the time, but you could do that while the meat was grilling. You need to watch how thick your meat is, because the time might not be long enough for your it. Also, the combination of the cinnamon and the steak was irrestable. My family said that it was a keeper. I think you will like it too!

This meal is easy to cook and clean up. It was fresh, light, and very tasty! I love the cinnamon/chile powder steak rub and the cucumber/avocado salsa was delicious! However, I think I will use less jalapeno next time. I used large Jalapeno chiles this time and it was a bit overpowering.

I used the top sirloin steak and cooked it medium-rare. However, this meat came out chewy. I ended up putting the rest in a meat grinder. I use a lot of Ellie's recipes and usually enjoy them but I found this one did not measure up to some of the other recipes I have tried. It was ok but will not be a go to recipe for us.

Who knew cinnamon would go so deliciously with steak? I sure didn't, and I must admit I was skeptical. I am so glad that I did not leave it out! The only thing that I would change next time, is that I would cut back on the lime juice in the salsa. Otherwise, my family will definitely be seeing this meal again!

This was ok. I thought because it had high star ratings that this would be really good. The steak came out good-perfectly cooked but all together it wasn't anything great. I found it a little tasteless. I ended up eating the rest of the steak w/plain white rice. The salsa was ok but I don't think I would make that again.

I have tried several of the 30 days of healthy recipes and this was not one of my favorites. The steak turned out wonderful in flavor following the recipe exactly but I felt the salsa was a LOT of work for little flavor. I wanted to add tomatoes, garlic or something else to it for me it was not enough as I am so use to sour cream and cheese on my tacos. Again the steak rub was great but the salsa was lacking. Also I felt the quantities were way off I had almost no meat left but a ton of salsa and cabbage?

The family just loved how this turned out! Even though I only used a dash of
the cinnamon, next time I will omit it altogether. I also used a sirlion which was just chewy and tough (btw, I did cook it medium-rare, I will use a skirt steak.
The avocado salsa was very refreshing, just add some sour cream on your taco too!
