As a stand-alone recipe for steak, this recipe leaves a little to be desired. The cinnamon's sweetness is strange, and there isn't enough salt to season the meat properly. However, when used for the tacos, as the recipe was originally developed, the flavors of everything merry nicely. My husband and I especially enjoyed the uniqueness of the cucumber-avocado salad. Will make this again.

Very refreching with the cucumber in the Avocado Linme Salsa. And an awsome steak

I went out and bought a grill pan today because I really wanted to try this recipe, and it was soooo worth it. Loved the meat, only added a little cinnamon due to others saying that 1/4 teaspoon was too much - I added just a pinch and it was just enough, not to much. The salsa was the best I have ever had, so fresh and yummy - I added tomato too and it was great! My husband and I loved this and will be making it again - Thanks Ellie for a great recipe!

These were really good! My husband & kids kept wanting to eat more! The rub gives the meat a great taste! We did add a bit of lowfat sour cream and I seasoned the cabbage with lime, salt and pepper which made it tasty! This was FAST and EASY!

This was so easy to fix and the alvocado salsa was delicious. My kids loved them. I don't normally care for cucumbers and was worried there was to much but I didn't even notice.

The rub is amazing. It tastes delicious and keeps the meat moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. It's very easy to prepare and the meat doesn't have to marinate so when the grill is ready, so is the meat.

I liked the Avacado Lime Salsa but the steak, was just ok. Probably a personal preference, I'm not sure if I'm the dry rub kind of girl. I was looking for more juice. But it was nice together. I'm making a Rachel Ray Flank steak this weekend with the salsa on top. RR's is hot and spicy, kind of what I like.

...but I didn't care for the cinnamon in the recipe at all. Every bite, I expected to taste steak, but instead tasted sweet cinnamon. Next time I try this, I will substitute c u m i n for the cinnamon; I think that will taste a lot better.

This was so simple and quick. Made it for some guests and they loved it. The rub would be great on chicken breast too!
