Loved it and made a great impression. I agree with the other comments i needed more heat but will fix that next time making two bowls of the marinade (extra peppers and i will heat and use the second one after i pull them off the heat. I do not have a grill so i seared them quickly and finished them by broiling in the oven. I was so impressed with how moist and tender they were. Very impressive dish and i will do it again for more guest.

note to self: next time grill chops after seasoning--when cooked through, apply glaze and heat glaze through. This glaze has so much sugars (syrup and juice it burned before the meat was cooked through. Also used more adobo and peppers (with seeds to intensify heat level

Eh, not that spicy, and I used extra chipotle pepper! Hadto use extra glaze as a sauce just to get any flavor, kind of bland.

I am giving this recipe a '5' although I tweeked it quite a bit. After reading other reviews, I added some of the seasonings already mentioned. (garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper I did not have OJ so I substituted orange zest. I also substitued honey. I cooked 4 minutes on each side and it turned out really good.

The butcher cuts these to get the right thickness and I stock them in the freezer. I also add a little viniger to the glaze and it gives it a sweet and sour taste. My daughter loves this and though she doesn't really eat meat she asks for these on a regular basis.

This glaze is amazing! I agree that you should liberally season the pork chops with garlic salt. I didn't want to spend a million dollars on maple syrup so I used honey instead and a little more chipotle than the recipe calls for because I love the spice. All the flavors were nicely balanced and I will definitely make this again!

I have made this and it is yummy! The adobo she is referring to, as I saw the episode, is the sauce that comes in the can of the chipotles, which are smoked jalepenos in and of themselves. Hope this helps. :

Could someone clarify for me what the 'adobo' in this recipe is? The recipe calls for "1 tsp chipotle with 1/2 tsp adobo". Is the intention of the recipe to use the adobo sauce from a can of 'Embasa Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce' or is it the powdered form of Goya Adobo Seasoning? We made it with the Goya powdered form but should we have tried to use the adobo sauce from the can of chipotle in adobo sauce or is there another option?

When this recipe aired I knew from just watching it that it would not have enough "flavor" just with a little salt and glaze . Ellie's recipe's tend to be a little bland (sorry Ellie. I seasoned my thin sliced pork chops with a little salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin and smoked paprika (I'm latin so my family and I have to have a lot of flavor. I also doubled the marinade to baste the chops in the grill pan. Oh also added a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to the grill pan. It turned out FABULOUS!!! My husband said he really liked the glaze. I really liked it too. I pretty much just "tweeked" the recipe to suit my family and the way I knew they would like it. It didn't take any extra time either. Thank you Ellie for the recipe of the Chipotle Orange Glaze!
