I love you Ellie; however, this pork chop recipe was a loser with very little flavor. The glaze was thin and did not provide much flavor. Like some of the other folks, the grill lines burned bec of the sugar in the juice and syrup. Also, the squash was soooooo bland. Very disappointing. These recipes went into the trash. I do not know how some of the readers got the flavor they talked about.

I was so excited to do this one after seeing the show. I followed the recipe to a T using exact ingredients it called for. After removing them from the grill pan there was just no flavor at all. I would like to try this again and maybe mariante first and make extra glaze to add during cooking.

I love these chops. It is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I did take the advice of other reviewers and grill the chops a bit first and then added the glaze in the last few minutes of grilling.

Definitely use thicker pork chops. The glaze is just the right amount of spicy for someone who doesn't really like spicy. Super easy to make and has nice flavor.

Used pork tenderloin since I didn't have chops. Also tripled the orange zest since I didn't have concentrate. Used one roasted poblano pepper; and one dried adobo pepper. It was firey and just the right amount of sweetness at the same time. Served with julienned sweet potatoes roasted in olive oil. My husband and boys loved it! Definitely a keeper!

The glaze was very tasty by itself, but the sugar in the syrup and orange juice burnt badly on the pan, and the pork chops didn't retain the glaze and where therefore very weak. The glaze could be used for other things, but I'd stay away from it on any meat. Very disapointing.

I took note of all of the reviews before making this supposedly simple and easy dish. I immediately guessed that 1 not everyone was using real maple syrup (aunt jemina just isn't the same and 2 they were possibly using thicker chops than specified by Ellie. I am one to play with recipes in order to give them a personal touch (that's why I suck as a baker, so since pancake syrup was my only option, I used more of it, poured the extra glaze (which was really a thinner sauce into my pan, and covered it to seal in the flavors a bit better. It wasn't perfect, but the kids didn't leave a single bite, and we'll definetly have it again.

This recipe was a huge hit with my husband. Simple and quick and very tasty! I used a grill pan and the glaze carmelized nicely, although it was a little runny. I may add a thickener next time, but other than that, I won't make any changes. Served it with the squash as on the show and it was a great side.
