This pie was amazing! I did a couple different things. I used storebought chocolate graham pie crust, brushed it with eggwash and baked in the oven for five minutes before I filled the pie. I didn't have bittersweet chocolate so I used semisweet, and the pie wasn't too sweet. I followed the pudding recipe exactly besides that and it came out so decadent and chocolatey. Of course people asked for the recipe, that's how you know how good it is. Since I used the storebought pie crust, I did have extra filling which I put into a little dish and had for dessert another night, a lovely little bonus! Not sure why people said that the consistency wasn't right, the pie uses gelatin because it doesn't use eggs and I liked that alternative. The consistency of the pie was heaven!

This pie was amazing! I used a store-bought graham cracker crust and I filled it up with the pudding. My family loved it! It's so rich and chocolatey, you can't even tell that it's healthy!

This pie has a deep chocolate flavor and a rich, smooth texture. It always goes over well when I make it, which I have several times. Great recipe!

This was absolutely fantastic! My MIL who doesn't like chocolate much loved it. My 22 month old had some in the pudding dish and she couldn't stop saying mmm, mmm, mmmm! lol There was plenty for 8 slices plus some extra to put small amount into 2 pudding dishes for my daughter.

I didn't use vanilla extract (forgot. My chocolate was 74%. Instead of gelatine, I used arrowroot (vegan/vegetarian alternative. When Ellie tells you to remove the liquid from the heat, I mixed in the arrowroot and returned it to the heat till it thickened. If you haven't used arrowroot before, it is very similar to cornflour/cornstarch. Most likely I used 2 heaped tbsp arrowroot with 2 tbsp of water. My pie didn't taste chalky, though I shifted my cocoa, cornflour and sugar.

I will definitely make it again! Though I think next time I may have to use digestive biscuits as I live in the UK and graham cracker is only brought back from US trips.
