We liked this recipe, but thought it overloaded a bit on the "emerald" components and added a little too much to the cost of the meal. I think next time I would use just the broccoli and asparagus and use more of them. The sauce was lite and delicious, and I used skirt steak instead of the one Ellie suggested. Very good over brown rice, but I agree with earlier posts that you could get away with serving this without the rice. I would make this again.

we don't eat beef so i just ommitted that part and added more veggies. i love this served over rice sticks or cellophane noodles. i think i may double the sauce recipe next time so the noodles can soak up some of the yummy sauce.

I read the reviews and then made this recipe. I cut the beef and then marinated it in the soy sauce, mirin, etc. 30 minutes before cooking it. It was wonderful. I also added extra red pepper flakes, salt and pepper for more spice.

Overall I liked it, but I just felt it needed a bit of a kick. I would suggest hot chili sesame oil. Also, the recipe calls for a "large wok," which is an understatement. My wok wasn't big enough, and my 14-inch pan wasn't big enough either. I would scale back the ingredients just a bit so you can get it all to fit.

I thought this recipe was wonderful. I didn't have any regular sesame oil only hot sesame oil but we like it spicy anyway. Only other difference was I added salt and pepper to the beef....it's a habit. Hubby liked it as well!

This was so good that my husband thought it deserved to be in a restaurant. The only thing I added were some baby bella mushrooms - these added a creamy texture. I made this last week and am making it again tonight!!

I didn't think this was horrible, but I wouldn't make it again. The beef was completely bland because it's not seasoned at all and then added to the sauce at the end-once the beef is cooked, it's hard to give it flavor even if it has sauce on it. I also wasn't crazy about the idea of crunchy asparagus, so I cooked my veggies a bit longer and omitted the edamame in favor of extra broccoli. I thought the sauce was too sweet and orangey and needed more salt. Overall, I was just disappointed because I wanted a healthy beef dish, and I feel like that's not what I had.

I followed the recipe. There is too much vinegar in this dish. Not my fav.

I subsituted some of the veggies for what I had in the fridge. Mushrrooms instead of aspargus. Also I used cooking wine and apple cider vineager. I thought it turned out great. I ate it over rice.
