I made this for dinner last night and it was EXCELLENT! I added a little grated parmesan and red pepper flake to the sauce, mushrooms and a chicken breast on top. Boyfriend said it might be the best thing I've ever made (he's usually the chef at our house. Overall a healthy, delicious way to get my pasta fix!

Cooked this dish last night. It was really good. I didn't have a food processor, so I went ahead and chopped everything very finely.. It worked out and the recipe was a success.. Loved the red pepper flavor for an extra kick I added some red pepper flakes! I will definitely cook this dish again soon.

Great recipe! I always prepare a recipe according to the authors directions. It turned out wonderful. Now to change things a bit I roasted a can of artichoke hearts with 3 cloves of garlic, then added them to the food processor, along with 1/2 cup of roasted pine nuts! I
also used "FAT-FREE" Feta cheese and I must say! It took Ellie's recipe over-the-top!

Excellent Recipe. Added a few sun dried tomatoes, mild sausage, and asparagus. Would cook it again.

I thought this was delicious. And simple, healthy and quick! This will be added as a staple in my kitchen. I used a mild feta and added toasted pine nuts on top.

I love this sauce, and would use it again. I was initially worried by reading some of the bland reports, but I found this sauce anything but bland. I like it because of it's rich flavor, and like many of the reviewers I didn't have to add any seasoning. I used President Crumbled Feta from Costco [I use feta a lot] and Trader Joe's Fire Roasted Yellow & Red Peepers, and this recipe came out delicious.

One of my favorite pasta sauces. Don't need to add any seasoning, perfect on its own!! Add chicken for protein!

Very delicious, lighter, and EASY version of a tomato cream sauce. I changed it up a little, used half red peppers and half sun-dried tomatoes, and sauteed the onions & garlic in the olive oil marinade that came in the jar of the tomatoes... mmmmmm! also added significant amounts of crushed red pepper and ground peppercorn, and extra garlic. Next time I will most definitely be adding some grilled/roasted chicken or, as another reviewer suggested, some italian sausage, as I think it needs some kind of meat to really make it complete. But as a base sauce, it is simply delicious! My hubby kept eating the sauce out of the food processor before the pasta finished cooking it was so tasty, and he's very picky!

DELICIOUS! I'm likely to use this recipe instead of my previous favorite, Alfredo sauce. I doubled the garlic because I'm a big fan. Didn't need the excess water from the spaghetti. And I used mixed peppers instead of just red.

I have been making this recipe for years, and my husband and I both love it. I've shared with others who love it as well. I often roast my own peppers as it's easy, not labor intensive and helps cut back on the sodium.
