Fabulous! I had seen this on her show, but husband was hogging the computer so I sort of winged it...forgot the cumin and used my own guacamole and tomato salsa recipe. As much as I love sour cream, I'm glad to have a layered dip recipe that excludes it - not everyone likes it, plus it saves me a few calories!

really fresh ingredients - the bean layer was absolutely delicious, but be VERY careful about how much chili in adobo you add! i think i have a tendency to overseason and added a bit too much chili in adobo, which is REALLY spicy. luckily everyone was a huge fan of heat, so it didnt ruin the dip. if you are weary of spicy food, pay close attention to exact measurements! otherwise this dip was the best layer dip ive ever had/served.

I appreciated finding this recipe. I loved all of the fresh, healthful and delicious layers. I didn't mind the prep. time. The bean layer was well seasoned, but the other layers NEEDED SALT too.

I often struggle with appetizers, you want to make a crowd pleaser but not something boring - this is a perfect option! This dip really is delicious, fresh tasting, not too difficult to make, and as someone else mentioned - gone in the blink of an eye!

I too dislike sour cream or cream cheese based southwestern dips, this is satisfying and tasty without those extra fat pockets! I even left out the cheese (on accident at the time and it was still delicious.

The dip does takes some time to make, but is well worth the effort. Be sure to salt the corn and the avocado puree (I blended with an immersion blender to help increase spreadability and don't skip the chipotle in the bean or the lime in the avocado, I think that is what makes the dip. DELICIOUS!

I made this dip for a Superbowl party and everyone raved about how fresh it tasted. The combination of lime with the black beans made it. This dip was delicious and gone in no time. I'm making it again tonight for a party and will add another avocado as their wasn't quite enough to spread the first time around.

I made this for a group of friends while watching a football game as an alternative to fatty sour cream based dips. I was finishing getting ready when people arrived. By the time I got upstairs a few minutes later half of it was gone! Followed the recipe exactly. A little time consuming (lots of chopping and it is 5 different layers! but totally worth it. I will make it again and again. Most people were confused with the bean layer because it clearly was a lot better than refried beans!

My husband & I made this together, so it wasn't so time consuming for us. Very good, we loved it. Every layer tastes really good together.

I was really disappointed in how this turned out. It was more time consuming than it looks. After following the recipe exactly, it came out very bland. I took it to a birthday celebration, and it was barely touched all night.

This dip was great! We used the leftovers in a chicken wrap the next day and that was tasty too!
