Made this and it's totally delicious!! made it with cream instead of milk though and put just a tiny bit of nutmeg, not the biggest nutmeg fan...... Will definitely make it again!!

Thought this was okay. It was a ton of work, and no one really loved it. It was a dish that I will eat the leftovers of this time, but I don't think I'll make this again. Didn't really care for the parmesan in it. However, if you absolutely love green bean casserole, you would probably like this. I agree with the other review that said to allow a lot more time to prepare the dish.

I made this last Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit. I have never liked green bean casserole mainly bc it was all canned but I loved this! I can't wait to make it again this year! It is more work but its worth it!

All the work is worth the end result. Definitely have something good on TV while whisking the milk haha! Other than that, it's an easy recipe. I'm a huge green bean casserole fan and am so happy that this healthier and lower sodium version (compared to the old school canned recipe tastes amazing! I think next time I may add more milk to make a creamier dish. I'm all for eating whole foods, no preservatives and eating healthier all the time just in general. Plus... today was my test run for this dish that I'm planning on bringing to my relatives Thanksgiving dinner. There was no way I was going to show up with a dish of canned slop thrown together. This will definitely be a hit!

Smelled good, looked great but no one in my family liked it. It's a lot of work for not much result. If you're interested in doing this one, allow a lot more time than you think to assemble it.

I thought this dish was very good. Made it for Thanksgiving dinner and now making it by request for Christmas dinner. It takes some time to prepare so make sure you have all your ingredients ready.

I tried this recipe because it sounded like an updated version of the traditional french's casserole, but uses fresh ingredients, which is a must for me. It turned out fabulous. It tastes so much better than the traditional version. I'm rating it 5 stars because it is tasty and healthy, but it is pretty time consuming. It took me a lot longer than what the recipe said. If I was doing the entire Thanksgiving dinner, I probably would not have made it, but as a guest bringing a dish, it was perfect. Next year, I will probably try making most of it the day before.

I made ths recipe for Thanksgiving this year. Everyone really liked it. I wanted something that was lightly than the standard recipe. It was not difficult and I made most of the recipe the day before and put in the refrigerator. I took the dish out of the refrigerator about an hour before I put it in the oven so it could be at room temperature. I fried more shallots right before I cooked it. It did take a little longer than the standard recipe but I liked it much better and it has alot less calories. I would recommend this recipe.
