Good recipe. My sister-in-law loved them and even helped herself to seconds but I felt they were lacking something. I think maybe I'd try sprinkling just a little brown sugar over top just to add a slight caramelization. Even though they were tender and moist, they almost seemed dry because the outside was so bare. The flavor was still good though, hard to ruin a sweet potato!

EXCELLENT. TENDER, SLIGHTLTY SWEET AND A WONDERFUL CHANGE FROM BROWN SUGAR LADEN SWEET POTATO CASSEROLS. YOU CAN ACTUALLY TASTE THE SWEET POTATOE! MAYBE NOT YOUR THANKSGIVING POTATO DISH, BUT TERRIFIC IN THE SUMMER.

Loved these!!! I almost couldn't stop eating them. How refreshing to have sweet potatoes not covered up with loads of brown sugar and butter! The sweetness of the honey and the contrast of the lemon was just fantastic! To make these quicker on a weeknight, I microwaved the sweet potatoes for about 9 minutes first, and then finished them in the oven for about 20 - 30 minutes to get the roasted flavor in about half the time. I also had a really juicy lemon, so I know I had more than 1 tsp, probably more like 2-3 tsp. I just balanced this out with another 1-2 TBSP of honey. I was also using almost 3 pounds of sweet potatoes too so the additional honey and lemon was needed.

Simply delicious! I make these at least once per week. Savory and lightly sweet, I sometimes eat this as a meal in and of itself. Highly recommend.

These were so delicious! I added some more salt and paprika, and they were amazing! The honey flavor came through, and the lemon flavor was kind of lost, but I still loved these so much. I'll definitely be making this recipe again!

My wife and I thought these were deliciously light.
The one consistent comment that I've noticed with any of the reviews from people that didn't like these, was that they weren't sweet enough.

We all need to get off of the notion that sweet potatoes are always supposed to taste as buttery/brown sugar laden as they do at thanksgiving.

These are not a DESSERT sweet potato dish, but rather a very lightly flavored side dish for a savory meal. The small amount of honey is barely registered on in your mouth, and it really is the flavor of the actual sweet potatoes that you taste in this dish, rather than a mouthful of mushy suger/butter potatoes.

If you want those, there are many recipes for them here. But these ones are a very light, clean tasting, and savory sweet potato side dish that doesn't make you feel like you need to jog 12 miles after eating them.

Wow! Melts in my mouth. Used grapeseed oil, and added a little cinnamon, salt and pepper.
