These are VERY good cookies and you feel like you aren't being "as bad" as normal cookies with tons of sugar and butter in them. I omit the apricots and nuts so they are just dark chocolate cherry cookies. Sometimes I double the batch also because they don't make a lot.

This is more like a granola bar rather than a cookie but it was good. I would add more dark chocolate next time.

Pretty tasty, but they have a doughy middle. What happened to the baking powder?

The cookies were soft, wheaty and lacked a real cookie flavor. Don't eat cookies if you have contrive so much to make them "healthy". Eat the real thing!

These cookies are great. I am not a fan of apricots so I just added different dried fruits or more of the dried cherries. I cant get enough of them.

Tasty snacks! Take them on the plane or on a ski trip. One can substitute any dried fruit (cranberries, dates, blueberries, golden raisins, add some flax seed, or use up the last remnants of a bag of trail mix in place of the nuts. Sometimes I use 1/2 walnuts and 1/2 pecans. I have used pumpkin puree in place of applesauce and added some ground nutmeg. Mind you, altering the recipe changes the nutrition specs, but it is worth it!

These cookies are amazing!! This was my first time to bake low-cal and low-fat cookies from scratch and they were a hit....even with my fast-food loving co-workers! They are a bit smaller but the cookies are so dense and packed with so many levels of flavor, you feel satisfied after a normal serving size.

I love the fact that these are yummy and that it makes a reasonable size batch. Not only does it prevent me from completely overeating, but it also was very quick to make. As a side note, I didn't have as many dried apricots in the house as I thought and so used raisins to fill out that 1/4 cup. It wasn't a bad substitution, but I don't think I would do it again intentionally.
