Quick, easy to make, delicious and likely much healthier than what you might get at a restaurant. My husband and I gobbled it up, and it was also a big hit with our 14 month old son (keeping him in mind, I left out the chili garlic sauce and just added some minced garlic to the recipe instead, who preferred to eat the beef tofu mixture with just rice instead of wrapped in lettuce. My husband suggested we have it for company sometime, saying that its one of those dishes people would probably think is harder to make than it looks.

These lettuce cups were fantastic! I do not eat tofu or a wide variety of veggies, but my husband and I have been trying to eat healthier and reduce our carbs. So, I thought I'd try this recipe. The beef and tofu mixture had just the right flavor and we gobbled them all up!

You know women would love this recipe and appreciate the healthy tofu, but my husband and his friends loved it too! Serve with Sriracha on the side for an extra kick :

We are a combination home of meat eaters and vegetarians so I am always looking for recipes that will satisfy both. I substitute "ground meatless substitute" for the ground beef when I make this meal. Tasty and hearty enough to satisfy the meat eaters and still a vegetarian meal. A quick and easy recipe we use often in our home. I serve it with some basmati rice flavored with a bit of lemon juice and grated lemon peel. Try it - you'll love it!

This was a family pleaser. We enjoy getting lettuce wraps when we go out to dinner. This at home version was terrific. We substituted ground turkey for the beef. Double the recipe, so you have enough for lunches the next day!!

My husband and I loved this recipe. We're big fans of asian food, and eat a lot of tofu. This recipe was so easy to follow, and turned out wonderfully. Next time, we'll double the recipe so that we have some leftovers for lunch the next day. I'll also use the sauce for stir fry recipes.

My husband and I LOVED these! The only addition I made was to add about a teaspoon of brown sugar to the sauce...I know Ellie wouldn't approve, but I like Asian cuisine for the slightly sweet sauces.
It has a good kick with the chili-garlic paste, but as my husband put it 'It's good spicy, not out of control hot spicy'
I used carrot strips instead of red pepper as well and the peanuts give the meal a nice balance!

I decided to make this after watching the show. I really don't know why because I hate tofu and hoisin sauce, and my housemate won't eat red meat, so I had to switch to ground turkey, which is not a favorite...anyway, I decided to make it inspite of these things, and I LOVED IT! It was delicious, even as left-overs the next day. Aside from using ground turkey instead of beef I followed the directions exactly and it was easy and wonderful. I also felt very virtuous using tofu...and was quite pleasantly surprised that I liked both it and the hoisin sauce I had previously not enjoyed. This is a great recipe of which the sum is greater than the parts.

I made this last night. It was easy to make and tasted fabulous! It was a great light, healthy, fun meal. It makes enough for four people as a light meal. The flavor is sweet/spicy and worthy or restaurant fare.
