This was a horrible waste of time and food (I ended up throwing the whole mess out! I used extra cheese, salt, cayenne and spices - to no avail. The recipe is tasteless, flavorless and bland. If you want mac and cheese, make Ina's or Rachel's - just eat less if you're watching your waistline.

This isn't as creamy as regular mac n cheese and my husband and I liked it, but needed to season it up a bit more - it was a little bland. That said, my 13-month-old devoured it and what a great way to slip some veggies to the kids...

I found this to be extremely bland. Before adding the macaroni to the sauce, I added horseradish, more salt, prepared mustard and hot sauce, and it was STILL bland. Perhaps a can of Rotel would liven it up. I think a few tweaks would make this tastier. I like the concept, I would just like to add some zip.

How could you NOT taste the squash in this recipe?
It tastes like mac & cheese & squash.
If you are trying to hide the veggie, it won't work. On it's own, as a veggie and pasta side, it's ok.

When I watched the show I cringed at the idea of squash in my mac & cheese. I thought that my kids and would be able to tell that it was in there. Boy was I wrong!! My kids and I loved it!! When I told them they had just had their veggies for the day they couldn't blieve it. This was a great meal that was very quick and easy to make.

This was also fun to eat. Kids will love this. Great for lunch or a great meal for single people like me.
