This is an excellent way to get kids to eat a veggie they normally wouldn't eat, my neice says its the best macaroni I've ever made, I didn't tell her there was squash in it until after they ate it. Love this recipe and the healthyness of it, keep them coming

It is pretty difficult to get a five star recipe when you try to make a dish that is notoriously bad for you healthier. That being said, I feel that this recipe is pretty awesome. When I first prepared the recipe, I noticed that the texture was a bit different, but that you could barely taste the squash. I have to admit though that I added more sharp cheddar cheese to the top. Using it as a side dish with a lean protein and a vegatable allowed me to get about 16 small side servings. I frooze them as individual squares and then just microwaved them to eat. (with no pool of grease!! Although not perfect, I would prepare this again and again because it is a much healthier way to get my cheese fix.

I've made this several times since first seeing the episode on TV. We like it a lot, it's a neat way to get some veggies in your diet! You can tell there's something different in there, but I happen to like the new taste.

This macaroni was ok, but definitely could not be a substitute for the real thing in our house! The squash was a good idea, but ours turned out very dry; would use about 1/2 the noodles next time and maybe a little more cheddar and less jack.

This was SO GOOD!! My boyfriend, who is very picky, got mad when he found out that I was using squash in the mac and cheese, but he tasted it and LOVED it! He wants me to make it again soon!
