Wish I had read the reviews before I made them, great advice on fixing dried out dates. I also had problems with my food processor, but that is nothing to do with this recipe. I added a bit of (organic virgin coconut oil to keep the mixture together, and that worked famously.
Anyway, this is a fantastic, quick, easy, delicious recipe for anyone - but I'm especially pleased to have another sweet treat to send to my vegan/gluten-free friends without having to substitute anything!

Thanks Ellie for the great No Bake recipe. Most pitted dates from California are fresh and sticky. If your dates are dried out then steam them by sprinkling water and 8 seconds in the microwave. This will make them soft and sticky to help the recipe stick together.

I had trouble forming the ingredients into a ball, so I added a bit of olive oil and refrigerated them. Next time, I'm going to use dates with pits as they are juicier although that requires pitting. Anyway, these are delicious.
