Really good! I loved being able to use up some miso and some cod at the same time. My broiler wasn't working well so I couldn't get it crispy. Otherwise super good and I plan to try it with other fish.

My fiance returned from a fishing trip with a ton of cod and I wanted a handle it with care since he caught it himself -- I didn't want to just do the typical lemon bake. This recipe was the trick! The flavors are so rich and delish... it became an instant hit in our household.

This is fantastic, make sure you char the top of this glaze well, it really is better blackened a bit.

I eat this in a local upscale sushi restaurant frequently and was thrilled to actually find a recipe.I was wondering what the difference between cod and black cod is? I don't know where to find black cod in Houston.
Came home to discover that I had no miso paste other than the hot kind, so used eel sauce, following the recipe otherwise. method of cooking worked well and the glaze caramelized on the fresh salmon quite nicely. Texture was wonderful, can't wait to try this with the miso!

I was truly looking forward to this dish. All of the components seemed compatible. It was awful. I had to scrape the glaze off, and still the fish was inedible. I also tried another of her recipe for tonite, and it was terrible...a healthy sounding ranch dressing. Ugh! I am so surprised and disappointed.

I read through about 15 reviews before I decided to make this miso glazed black cod, so I was only slightly worried how it would taste considering the handful of very negative reviews. I have to say I am completely shocked that some people say it's terrible or lacks flavor. They must have done something wrong for sure! My husband and I just finished eating our cod, and it was heaven!!! Literally mouthwatering heaven! It wasn't too sweet, just right, the miso flavor came through pretty balanced, which was delicious. It tasted like a cod dish you'd get at an upscale restaurant, and I'd easily pay $25-30 for it. I can't wait to make it again!

I love miso and thought this was just awful. Nobody in my family liked it.

I was born in Hawaii and the miso sauce brings back fond memories. My husband is from New York and LOVED this recipe. I don't know how many times he kept raving about it. The only thing I would probably add is a little ginger. I will surely make this again! Ellie, I LOVE your book!

not a fan of this recipe. The seasoning was too sweet, and the inside of the cod didn't have flavor

I've made this recipe a number of times and each time it's fantastic. The miso complements the cod and along with Ellie's bok choy recipe, it's a can't miss meal! Simple, easy, fast and delicious.
