I read through about 15 reviews before I decided to make this miso glazed black cod, so I was only slightly worried how it would taste considering the handful of very negative reviews. I have to say I am completely shocked that some people say it's terrible or lacks flavor. They must have done something wrong for sure! My husband and I just finished eating our cod, and it was heaven!!! Literally mouthwatering heaven! It wasn't too sweet, just right, the miso flavor came through pretty balanced, which was delicious. It tasted like a cod dish you'd get at an upscale restaurant, and I'd easily pay $25-30 for it. I can't wait to make it again!

I love miso and thought this was just awful. Nobody in my family liked it.

I was born in Hawaii and the miso sauce brings back fond memories. My husband is from New York and LOVED this recipe. I don't know how many times he kept raving about it. The only thing I would probably add is a little ginger. I will surely make this again! Ellie, I LOVE your book!

not a fan of this recipe. The seasoning was too sweet, and the inside of the cod didn't have flavor

I've made this recipe a number of times and each time it's fantastic. The miso complements the cod and along with Ellie's bok choy recipe, it's a can't miss meal! Simple, easy, fast and delicious.

Easy to make; good enough for company. Oven was already warm with other dishes. The quick cooking time allowed for the other items to rest. Definitely good - and practical - for a dinner party.

I am not very talented in the cooking department but my boyfriend is, which makes it that much more intimidating. I gave this recipe a shot and totally impressed him. I've made it twice so far and both times were a hit!! So delicious, so easy to make. Thanks Ellie!!!

Very good! I used a diffrent kind of fish, and it doesn't matter what you use its still going to taste amazing. My husband says it would be even better with lemon. I'll use that next time. :

Used halibut instead of cod because was fresh at the market and cod was frozen. My boyfriend gave it a 10/10 and he is EXTREMELY picky. Highly recommended.
