I have made this, many, many times, given it for gifts. It is the best ever. Thank you so much for this recipe. Oh by the way, I always double it, because I share it and give the recipe to others.

This is a great 'base' to work from. It's flexible so you can substitute and add in what you like. I made mine with unsweetened coconut, walnuts and almonds. I also found it a little sweet for my taste so I increased the oats by 1 cup. The maple syrup is such a nice flavor and it's so simple to make!

The first time I made this, it was really good. Things I didn't care for were that it wasn't clumpy, as other people have stated, and I didn't care for the walnuts in it. The second time, I use half honey and half maple syrup. This made it a lot sweeter and less flavorful. I'll probably stick to maple syrup in the future. If you use honey, you have to reduce cooking time. Also, I substituted grape nuts and coconut for the walnuts, which I'll stick with. I'd reccomend letting it sit for a while before baking, which helps it stick together more. I've added flax seed both times, and have been happy with both batches. Oh, I also doubled the cinnamon, but I really like cinnamon!

Easy and delicious! I used a mix of raisins and dried cranberries, added some flaxseed and used honey instead of the maple syrup. Perfect opportunity to make it your own and add some of your favorite ingredients. I tossed every 10 minutes in the oven and it worked out well. Thanks Ellie :

I love making homemade granola and this recipe is one of the healthiest I've found. I use dried cranberries or cherries instead of the raisins.

So incredibly easy I will make this again and again. The great thing about granola is you can really edit the recipe to make it your own. I wanted mine to be heavier on the oatmeal as opposed to the nuts so I completely omitted the pecans. I also saw the Neelys use unsweetened coconut flakes so I added those. I noticed someone mentioned this was their least favorite of 3 granola recipes but it was probably the healthiest. I love that this recipe doesn't call for any brown sugar or sweetener other than maple syrup. Nutritious and delicious!

I was a little disappointed that the granola didn't cook up in clumps but as soon as I tasted it, that didn't matter. This is the bast granola I've ever tasted & I'm never buying granola at the store again. I used 3/4 cup dried cranberries instead of 1/2 cup raisins & increased the cinnamon to 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon. I also added about 1/8 cup more maple syrup.

My Favorite granola! I'll never buy granola again, this recipe is so easy and so good. I use honey instead of maple syrup because in washington state maple syrup is very pricey. I have also used agave syrup. I just don't even measure the cinnamon I just add a hefty dash out of the container and I use mostly walnuts instead of the almonds and pecans. I added the raisins After baking and cooling so they stay nice and soft. I can just get the amounts of the ingredients I need in the natural/bulk foods section of the supermarket. very affordable

Pretty good. I added unsweetened coconut and vanilla extract for flavor. It's not very sweet and took about 40 minutes to bake.
