My Family is so picky that I find it hard to find nutrious food they'll eat. This receipe I couldn't get them to quit eating. They ate it on yougurt, Ice cream, berries, fruit and of course by it's self and with milk as cereal. GOD BLESS YOU! THANK YOU!

This does taste really good. Not too sweet. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the nuts in the recipe, but I think I wanted more "granola" and not quite so many nuts. That is an easy fix, though! I used dried cherries instead of raisins, which tasted really good. I used pancake "maple syrup" without thinking about it, but then I realized the recipe probably called for real maple syrup! Maybe that would have made it sweeter, too, which would have been a bonus.

I love this recipe. Most granola is way too sweet for me, but this one is perfect! I use honey instead of maple syrup just because I prefer the flavor, and I also add flax seeds, wheat germ, and whatever dried fruit I have on hand. My husband loves it so much, he has me make it once a week. Thank you for a delicious and healthy recipe!

Along with Alton's & Ina's, my friend & I made this granola one Saturday. This was my least favorite of the three. But I'm not a big fan of nuts. We definitely missed the coconut that the other two had. I will be making it again but will add the coconut, some dried fruit & probably some cinnamon.

I just made this to bring into work tomorrow for a breakfast. I followed the recipe to a T except I added a tablespoon of honey as another viewer suggested to make some granola "clumps." I stirred the mixture every 6 minutes. It was VERY easy to make and I just had some with some non-fat plain yogurt. YUM!!! Like other viewers, I don't think I'll ever purchase granola again since this! Thank you, Ellie for another fantastic recipe!

My 8-yrs-old & oatmeal-hating husband loved this recipe! I used whatever dried fruits I already had that my son and hubby wouldn't dare touch on its own. It is so easy to make. I packed some in a tupperware and we took it on a road trip instead of buying the usual potato chips at the gas stations. My son will have some when he gets home from school. I packed some in ziplocks for my hubby to leave at his desk for snacking. I've had it with milk for breakfast! So many things you can do with this! You won't regret it! Good for you, too!

This is by far the best granola I have ever made. It does not even compare to store bought granola. This recipe is easy and worth the time. I added cranberries to the last batch I made and it really made it even better. This is a great breakfast item to top on yogurt. I love it!

I was going to rate this recipe 5 stars, but the second time I made it I realized I only had 1/4 cup of maple syrup left, so I combined this recipe with one from Alton Brown. I used 1/4 cup syrup, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup vegetable oil. I found the flavor much more exciting and enjoyable (I fully realize this sacrifices the integrity of the recipe and makes it less healthy. It reminded me of lightly candied nuts. I also had some issues with my nuts tasting burned, so I dropped the temp to 250 and cooked it for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Now I try to keep this granola in my fridge at all times because my 2 1/2 year old twins love it as much as I do.
