This is great. I kept the ingredients separate until serving the salad. Very light and fresh.

I love this combination! I just wish I hadn't halved the recipe (made it for 2 because I could eat heaps of it. Perfect complement to my panko oven-fried chicken. Yum, Ellie!

This combination seemed odd to me at first but I really love the fresh mint with the citrus and the bite of onion

I did not like the addition of salt to this salad. I'm not sure what happened, but even with 1/4 tsp. salt, it was like all I tasted in the salad was salt. I'm wondering whether or not I should have tossed the salad a little better to make sure the salt was evenly incorporated.

I also think that 2 tbsp. oil is a little unnecessary. I used 1 tbsp. of olive oil when I made this and it was just the right amount.

I couldn't get any GOOD navel oranges from my local grocery store, so I used a can of drained mandarin oranges, and I really liked the little bit of extra sweetness. However, I didn't use a normal can of mandarins in heavy syrup - I bought a can of the no sugar added type.

Final note - this is definitely a salad for adults. I would not serve this to children because of the combination of flavors.

I have made this recipe several times now and it is delicious! I needed an alternative recipe that used radishes because I had a bumper crop of them in my garden this year. Once I subsituted grapefruit for the oranges and it had a bit more of a tart kick and was still delicious.

We made this salad last night when our area was under a heat advisory and I'm telling you - it tasted so fresh and delicious! Easy to make. One tip - make sure the knives you use to slice up the orange sections are very sharp. It will make it so much easier and you won't end up with a mess. Anyway, wonderful recipe and I loved getting the chance to use some mint from the crop in my back yard (mint anyone?....... You will love this salad - and we love Ellie's recipes! Enjoy!

Terrific combination of flavors and textures. And a great way to use all that mint in my garden!

This was great. I made it for guests and we had no leftovers. It takes some time to section the oranges, but that's really the only time consuming step. Everything else was just chop and mix. One warning... I prepared this ahead of time, and the red onion *almost* overpowered the other flavors... next time, I will pre chop but add them closer to serving time. Still, we all had seconds, and the yield was perfect for 4 people.

This salad is so great and fresh. Its great with fish. It is a summer salad. I made some changes which made it perfect. Instead of using 4 oranges, i used 2 oranges 2 limes and 1 grapefruit. Which gave the salad different beautiful colors and more tasty flavors. Worth to try :0

My husband loves radishes, so I tried this. I plated it on a leaf of red lettuce. The colors really made the meal look great. I even enjoyed it and I don't really care for radishes, but with the onions and oranges it tasted good.
