I was completely amazed at how well this turned out and how delicious it was. I could not find whole wheat crackers so I used just wheat crackers. The crust was crispy and delicious. The meat was moist. I would advise using more crackers and corn flakes to make sure you have enough. I barely had enough for 6 chicken thighs. A healthy delicous fried chicken recipe.

A huge hit!! I used Everything Bagel Chips because that was all I could find and it was great! I also added a little bit more cayenne pepper for a little extra kick. Will definitely make this again!

ok.. i changed this recipe from ellie's with what I had on hand.. I used 1/2 cup fat free sour cream, 1/2 cup fat free mayo, and 2tbs skim milk instead of the yogurt.. subs spicy brown mustard for the dijon, whole grain wheat flakes(total instead of corn flakes. I didn't use the sesame seeds or the cayenne. I used a tbs of cavenders greek seasoning and tsp of dried oregano.. It turned out wonderful!!!! I have made this recipe before as written and they are equally delicious.. thanks ellie for a good base to explore this healthy version of one of my favorite foods. 5 stars.

The chicken was juicy and the crust was crispy. It stayed on the chicken, unlike some other recipes I've tried. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

I don't do fried chicken because of the fat. This is a great way to have "fried" without the fried! I used wheat flakes instead of corn & for the crackers I used HY VEE"S Woven Wheats reduced fat. The texture & flavor were great. This is going in our tried & liked file to make again! Thanks for a great show.

If I say we will have chicken tonight,
my husband requests the Oven Fried

I prepared this for a family dinner party full of picky eaters. While some thought it was too spicy, everyone ate up declaring it delicious, spicy or not. I will definitely make this again.

This is for Sally from Minneapolis who wants to know which brand of cracker to use. I just bought a box today so I can make this recipe. They're Zesta saltine whole wheat crackers from Keebler. They're in a red box, same shape as regular saltines. Can't wait to make this recipe. Every single recipe I've made from Ellie's shows have been excellent. She's absolutely my favorite Food Network host. Wish she was on more often!

I missed this episode, but want to try this recipe. Can anyone recommend a brand of "whole wheat salted crackers?" I wasn't sure which one would capture the kind of taste and texture Ellie used for the show. Thank you.

I didn't have any corn cereal, so I processed crackers and a loaf of whole wheat bread (hoagie style together. I would only put in 1/4 tsp. of cayenne as it was very spicy for my family. I like that the coating actually stuck to the chicken! I have always had problems with it falling off during cooking, but I think I've found a baked chicken recipe that's a keeper! Thanks!
