This is sooooo good! The kick the cayenne pepper gives it is fabulous! My husband couldn't believe it was a HEALTHY dish. He kept saying it was so close to fried chicken! If you throw the left over is the oven or a toaster oven so that it isn't soggy, they are great. Love it!

This has turned into a family favorite! I have made this for big family dinners and even the picky eaters love it! I now always ask the butcher to remove the skin from the chicken to help save some time (and it's kind of gross! I love the little kick you get from the cayenne!

It was very tasty, but next time I may add crushed chilli's as we like it a little hotter. Also we had some left overs which we ate the next day, but it went a littl soggy!

I thought it was really good. It's got a little kick to it. What I don't understand how someone can leave a rating and comments for a recipe if they don't even make it....

I would maybe add a little more spice to the mix.

I am a healthy cook and food writer and have often been called upon to make oven fried chicken. While it can be very delicious, it isn't always as easily made as it sounds. It is better with practice because there is an art to keeping an oven crust crispy, tasty and simply to stay ON! This is a good recipe, it just may take a time or two to get it down!

Try dipping in a slightly beaten egg, mixed with a tablespoon of light mayo before dipping in the coating and omit the yogurt. It may give you a better crust.

    Hope this helps!

I'm being generous with my rating. It was average at BEST. I wouldn't make it again and was definitely disappointed because I love Ellie's recipes. It didn't taste anything remotely like fried chicken. I wasn't expecting that because it's oven baked, but I still couldn't believe that people actually liked this chicken dish. Very boring with little flavor. Skip it.

I surprised my husband with this the other day for dinner. I made the recipe exactly as stated, even with the cayenne pepper. It was such a treat! Who doesn't crave fried chicken from time to time? But, eating fried chicken is always saddled with a lot of guilt. We were very pleased with this--it satisfied that fried chicken craving and was delicious at the same time. Don't be skeptical of the yogurt. It was the secret to the flavorful coating staying on the chicken. I am planning on making this again.

I am just learning to cook & this is PERFECT! i have never tasted chicken so juicy!! the yogurt sounds gross I know, but that is exactly what makes it so good! My step dad hates yogurt & any dairy products, he didn't even notice the taste! & everyone loved it! Serve it with some green beans from Trader Joes' (the skinny ones & its perfect! :D

I cut the recipe in half for 2 of us. I followed it to the tee and it came out perfect! The chicken was juicy and the cracker/cereal mixture was delicious. I loved the cayenne pepper addition, gave it a little kick... I'll make this recipe again.
