The only alteration I made to this recipe was instead of part crushed crackers, I just used the corn flakes. But I did marinated this for at least 4 hrs hoping that it would make a difference in the flavoring or texture. My complaint is that the chicken was not flavorful enough and too dry. Otherwise, the coating was good. I won't be making this again. Too many other recipes too try:

It was so delicious, my kids wanted me to make more the same day. Next time I will make with chicken strips and serve them with honey mustard sauce.

    Thanks Ellie!

This technique is also fantastic with firm tofu. Just drain it well before battering it and bake at same temp for about 10 minutes! Had some ready and some leftover batter, so.... :

I have been trying to eat healthy & started loking for good recipes. I found this one & thought I would try it & see if it lived up to the reviews. It did! It was very moist & delicious & it wasn't soggy from being baked! Even my impossible to please husband like it! I followed the directions except I didn't have sesame seeds so I left them out. It still came out crispy, moist, & very good! I would definatly recommend this recipe even for those not on any special diet.

My husband wanted chicken for dinner and I wanted to find an easy recipe with ingredients I had on hand. This one came up and I decided to try it. I am pregnant and chicken has been one adversion of mine...until this came out of the oven!! It was so crunchy and flavorful on the outside and super moist inside. The yogurt adds just a little bit of tang that really is delicious! My 2 year old ate an entire piece, which is the first time he has ever done that with chicken! I would definately recommend it! I left out the cayenne for my 2 year old and used store bought italian flavored bread crumbs instead of whole wheat crackers, but the substitution just added to the wonderful flavor.

This is my go to recipe when I'm in the mood for fried chicken. When my husband asked me what was in it, I laughed and told him. He kinda smirked and said "for having cereal on it, it's really good!"

I like to cut my chicken breasts into strips. It cuts the cooking time down alot. And I need all the time I can get with my munchkins running around. They're not very patient when they're hungry, lol.

I thought this recipe was excellent and so did my husband. The corn flake coating reminded me of an old recipe my mom used to make (about 40 years ago - oh my!. This is a much lighter and healthier version but with all of the flavor. The chicken was moist and the outside was crunchy. I had never used yogurt in an "oven fry" recipe, but will do so from now on because it adheres so well.

On Memorial Day I served Elie Krieger's Overn Fried Chicken along with BBQ ribs. The fifteen guest I had over for dinner raved about the recipe....even the kids ate seconds. I left the chicken in a brine overnite. In the future I will only purchase chicken breast since my family prefers white meat. Thank you Ellie for the wonderful recipe.

I made this recipe without dairy, crackers, eggs, and sesame because I'm allergic to these ingredients and it still turned out great! I substituted rice milk for the yogurt and salt for the saltines. Finally I can feel like I'm eating fried chicken, when its a much healthier (and allergy free version!
