We made this recipe for a weekend brunch, and it was fabulous! Since it was for my husband and I, we had plenty of leftovers for a couple of weekday breakfasts on Monday and Tuesday, and it tasted just as good! This french toast has beautiful flavor and isn't too sweet -- the maple syrup gives it a nice finish. I highly recommend!

i loved this dish. I actually made it for dinner, so i prepared it in the morning and let it sit all day. I had to bake it a little longer because i used s smaller pan, but it was worth the wait. I am going to try making it again with raisins and apples, not that there was anything wrong with the peaches!

This was fine, but not as good as a lot of other Ellie recipes. I even (on the advice of previous reviewers added things to the custard to give it more flavor -- Amaretto, maple syprup, grated nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. I have definitely made better overnight french toast recipes.

We loved this...I used a mixture of stone fruits and it turned out great.

I made this for my family last weekend and we couldn't get enough! I used a multi-grain loaf, which gave this recipe a wonderful texture. The peaches give it a great punch of flavor. I think I'm going to try sliced apple on top this Fall.

This was awesome and a pleasant surprise. I used fresh peaches which made it even better. It was a big hit w/ all 4 kids and my husband. Very filling and we actually had it for dinner.

I made this last night for a breakfast for dinner type of thing. It smelled good but tasted awful. The bread was mushy and I could really taste the egg (like under cooked egg. Probably won't make again.

...but I wish I had read the reviews before making this one. It could've used the maple syrup or a little Splenda in the egg mixture, as well as a little of the cinnamon and brown sugar. Still, it was good. I used frozen peaches that were a little under ripe, but I'll definitely try with other fruits next time. This recipe is a keeper.
