I was glad to find this recipe. My other Peach French toast was way too bready and dry. This one was divine.

I did spread some cream cheese over the bread (from my other recipe then followed the rest of the recipe. Used a hearty whole grain bread. I also sprinkled a few chopped walnuts over the top. Oh, I only made half a recipe in an 8 inch square glass pan and it worked perfectly. Made this for a Bed and Breakfast breakfast. Would definitely make again. Very easy and convenient.

So Everything went great. I put some brown sugar in the egg mixture and extra vanilla. Also, what made a huge difference was the French toast bread that had maple flavoring infused in it. It was thick sliced and helped for the overall flavor. I found it in the bakery section. I think without this ingredient the bake would have been too bland. I would make this again. So easy by making it the night before!

I had great hopes for this, but it was a total waste of time and ingredients. I added some spices as other reviewers suggested, which didn't get dissolved properly and resulted in some really nasty bites. The worst part was it totally stuck to the pan, even though I used a "non-stick" 9x13 pan and sprayed it with Pam first. I think it was due to the brown sugar burning it into the surface. I scrubbed and scrubbed and even boiled it with some water and vinegar, but still couldn't get it all off. I'll probably have to get a new pan. Watch out for this recipe!

I always use ginger when baking with peaches and was suprised it wasn't included in this recipe but I added. I agree mix the sugar and cinammon in egg. I also would assemble up side down. as I think you would get a better meld of flavor. Frozen peaches are definitely the way to go - can't imagine how sweet it would be with pie filling. Seems like a nice change from the plain (make that at the holidays with low fat eggnog really easy and apple variety of make ahead french toast.

I haven't made this, but i've ready some comments and wanted to add something. This isn't really traditional french toast. If you're looking for the crusty outside and soft inside, you probably won't find it here. This is more like a bread pudding. That being said, from the video it looks like she adds waaaay more egg mixture than nessecary for that amount of bread. That may be why it didn't bake up for some of you and was still really gooey. Also, you might want to add the sugar and the cinnamon directly to the egg mixture. This may help the taste of it. You can still put some sugar on top, but if you're not putting it into the egg then you've just got cinnamon sugar peaches on top of eggbread.

I'd still like to try this, however, to see if my suggestions work out.

I'm always looking for a breakfast that will keep my children going in the morning and this sure did. The question, "may I have a snack" or " mom I'm starving" usually happens 45 min to an hour after a bowl of cereal on a Saturday morning, so we don't eat a lot of cereal anymore. I used a heavy whole grain bread and sliced it myself then followed the directions exactly...something I usually don't do and I have to say this was such a great way to start the day. The yogurt on top gave it an extra richness and the maple syrup made it nice and sweet. I even served C-bacon on the side! I'm going to make a big pan for Thanksgiving when the entire family is around. My kids also love it and they are 7 and 10.

It was good but not by any means amazing. I don't think I will make again with so many other recipes to try.
