I wasn't sure about this recipe...but I love peaches, fresh cherries and balsamic vinager separately, so I gave it a shot. It is a new favorite! I'm on a low calorie diet and this is perfect to satisfy that pie or even cobbler craving. I cut the recipe down to 1 peach and maybe 6 or 7 cherries with 1 tbsp balsamic and maybe 1 tbsp of sugar. Last night, I added it to a small bowl of vanilla frozen yogurt with 1 tbsp of graham cracker crumbs, and it tasted EXACTLY like peach/cherry pie with ice cream! Seriously, delicious. Ellie is awesome!

I, too, am not a fan of "cherry flavored cough medicine" so I was prepared to be disappointed but... what a wonderful and easy dessert; I used nectarines instead of peach and it was perfect. I served it over kool whip (that's all I had but now I'm thinking ice cream, pound cake, crepes.... would also make a wonderful fondue!

I watch Ellie's shows because I learn so much and enjoy watching how creative she is with healthy dishes. I love fresh cherries but I'm one of those that does not "cherry flavored" items, like candies, drinks, etc. because they remind me of cherry flavored cough syrup. I just bought some sweet, fresh cherries and peaches that were delicious! After making this recipe, it reminded me of the cherry flavored cough syrups. I prefer the cherries by themselves.

I halved the recipe b/c I made just enough for my husband and me. Can't imagine needing the extra sugar - it was very sweet! Would recommend peeling the peaches. The cherries were great - might make a good topping for pancakes.

I just bought fresh peaches from a local orchard, so this recipe caught my eye. The warm cherries with their sauce really highlighted the intense peach flavors. I did not detect any vinegary aftertaste, and I made the recipe as written. Will make again, and will explore the potential for using the sauce with other dishes...

This recipe is great, the hardest part is pitting the cherries, but it is soooo worth it.

Absolutely divine; the cherries tasted so good that we kept on eating them with everything. Our peaches weren?t that tasty but we sliced them and arranged on a nice serving plate. We scooped 3 balls of peach-vanilla ice cream and we topped with the cherries. Incredibly delicious!!!

This is the first recipe I've tried of Ellie's, and I'll have to say it was amazing. I'd seen Balsamic Vinegar dessert recipes before, but had yet to try them. I couldn't find peaches this time of year so I substituted with nectarines, and it was amazing! My husband and I both agree it's a keeper.
