These came out pretty dense and a bit dry, which I kind of expect with a "health' cookie. But it was easy to make, and the flavor was really nice--you can taste the almond butter behind the pecan flavor. It's worth doing if you are a pecan fan and want an easy fix. Definitely double the recipe! Who wants to go through all that for just 12 cookies? I came out with 28 when I doubled.

These cookies are the best! These are my moms favorite cookies. I have made other pecan sandies, but my mother and I prefer this recipe. There is no need to change the recipe. Thanks Ellie!

Quick and easy cookie! Like the other commenters, I flattened the cookies. I also used a full stick of butter and added some granulated sugar (about 1/4 cup...obviously less healthy, but much better tasting.
They are super fluffy, so next, I'm going to make these into bars.

We tried these and they were delicious. After forming the cookies into a ball, I flattened the dough a bit before cooking. Also, I added 1/3 cup raisins and a 1/3 cup dried cranberries to the receipe. While hot we coated both sides of the cookes in powdered sugar, and coated them again with powdered sugar once the cookie cooled. The cookies turned out very good.

These cookies are very tasty. My 3 year old loves them! One thing worth noting, though. After you roll the dough into a ball, flatten them with the palm of you hand. These cookies do not spread when baking. Also, if using a silpat, the baking time will need to be increased by about 3-4 minutes.

these cookies are awful. They don't even flatten out on their own. I opened the oven in 10 minutes and had the exact same balls I started with. After flattening them with a fork and baking another 5 minutes, I was left with a dry hard cookie that tasted like cardboard. Don't bother.

I thought these were great. Nice flavor and consistency.
We use cookies as an incentive for my 3 year old son to have 'good days' at daycare. I put these to the test with him and he loved them. I made them this weekend and will have to make another batch this coming weekend because we've polished them off. These and Ellie's triple chocolate cookies are now my 2 favorite cookie recipies.
You don't find many healthy alternatives to cookie recipies that actually have good taste. Thanks so much Ellie!

Excellent cookies! My teenage daughter that doesn't like any type of nuts just loved it.

I made these cookies because my husband and I have been trying to eat better after the holidays. We think they are a good, healthy alternative. I did use the whole egg hoping that they wouldn't be as dry. My husband liked them so much that he asked me to make more and tripple the recipe.

I am trying to use more natural ingredients so I thought I'd try this one.I used walnuts instead of pecans but the cookies were a bit dry in my opinion.
