This is one of my favorite pasta recipe, hands down. Roasting the tomatoes give them such a concentrated flavor which adds a lot of depth to the recipe. My teenage sons actually ask when I'm going to make this again. A real keeper.

I subbed whole wheat penne for this recipe and was surprised at how fast it all came together, I loved the light flavor and roasting the tomatoes really brought out the flavor in them.

For all the bold tastes in this recipe We were disappointed in how bland it tasted. I will make it again using canned, fire roasted tomatoes instead of fresh...maybe that was the problem...not really tomato season here. I even doubled the amount of garlic and it was still not as tasty as I would have expected.

This was delicious. The only change I made was using whole wheat pasta and I added two more garlic cloves. My husband did miss the meat but I reminded him we're going meatless once a week!

Very flavorful. I used 6 cloves of garlic and it gave it a robust and full flavor. Everyone in my family loved it, even my toddlers.

If you cook the tomatoes as long as this recipe recommends they will come out charred

i was looking for new ways to use beans and this was delicious and EASY. My picky toddler and meat-n-potato fiance ate it up. i did add 2 links of turkey sausage (for fear of the 'where's the beef' look. I will definitely make again!

The blend of tomatoes, beans, basil and cheese is great -- a healthy and filling dish.
