Ok, recipes are very versatile, especially like this one. If you've got an ounce of chef in you, you would know that your taste buds can easily be reasoned with. Didn't like the sauce?? Add more molasses, maybe some brown sugar, garlic and such. You don't need to get on here and ruin it for first timers. Please, just comment such like, " this was not for me" but don't sit there and rant about it. I thought it was delicious. Like I said, I myself added a few extra things and made it my own. With a little extra love and your own touches it is amazing and will be a family favorite!

I bought a rotisserie chicken for this recipe like it said to do. There are 670 mg of sodium in 3 oz. of the rotisserie chicken that I purchased at Walmart. There are supposedly only 400 mg sodium in a 3/4 c. serving of this dish that is also loaded with canned tomatoes which we all know are very high in sodium (low-sodium or not. Moral of the story...if I were making this dish again I would save my money and my heart by boiling 2 chicken breasts. However, like most unhealthy things, it did taste very good. I was leary at first, but once the sauce cooked down it had a nice flavor.

After being put on a low-sodium, low-protein diet by my doctor, I thought I wouldn't have bbq for a long time. This is wonderful, the taste is so much better than I expected. I had it with the broccoli slaw, it was delicious and filling. I made extra sauce to use with other dishes and I'm so glad I did. The only thing I did different was to add tobasco 'cause I like the heat. I will use this again and again.
    THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

This was easy and the kids couldn't believe it was actually good for them. The fight over the left overs and share it at school, and their friends beg them for some.

I followed this recipe TO THE LETTER and it was THE worst thing called BBQ I have ever put in my mouth. NO ONE in my house would eat it and the entire thing went down the garbage disposal. I honestly cannot see how anyone with taste buds could find this recipe even CLOSE to being good.

Mixing pulled chicken with a bottle of generic BBQ sauce would be much better than this stuff.

Am I ranting? I signed up just so I could tell people how AWFUL this recipe turns out in hopes no one will ever try it again.

I made this last week for my family, and it was very simple and tasty. Great flavor, and not too "tomatoey", as others suggested. My kids said it was a "definite keeper". Will make this again!

I really liked this recipe. I thought the BBQ sauce had a good flavor, although my family thought it needed a bit more sweetness. I didn't think so. The smell was also very misleading. After adding the vinegar, that was all we could smell, so when I tasted the sauce, I expected it to be overly tangy, but it wasn't. It was nice to know that I was eating something that wasn't loaded with sugar and fat.

I really enjoyed this recipe. I made it with boneless, skinless chicken breasts that I had left over and I used brown sugar instead of the molasses. My family loved it and will be making it again in the near future!

This is a happy compromise between "really quick" barbecue sauces, and those with a mile-long list of ingredients. The flavors develop nicely as it cooks down, and melds really well with the pre-cooked chicken. For those who found the tomato flavor too strong, I would suggest using half the amount of tomato paste. Of course you could doctor this just about any way you want, as many have suggested. But it's a wonderful and simple recipe that I'm sure I'll be using again.
