This looked like a really easy recipe for supper. It was simple but the flavor wasn't there for me. Its a good idea and a good time savor with the rotisserie chicken but the bbq sauce was missing flavor for me. I ended up trashing it and using the recipe from the Dean brothers (ultimate bbq chicken I believe. It turned out really well then and made a simple and quick to fix supper for the family.

I tried this tonight and was quite pleased. Easy and tasty. I added some tabasco and cut the onions in strips to get more taste. Topped the sandwiches with homemade pickles and coleslaw and, voila - dinner!!

Wow,this was so good! My kids really liked it and my husband says it was the best! I thought it was going to be "so-so" because it had tomatoe sauce & paste, instead of the typical ketchup and brown sugar but NOOOOO!!!! The liquid smoke is key. And it's better for you too! It was yummy! I will definitly be making this again.

Super easy, healthy and delicious. The sauce is great, not too vinegary not too sweet. Didn't feel guilty after I ate!

I used two boneless breasts instead of the rotisserie chicken - browned in some canola first and then poached in low sodium chicken broth 'til tender and cooked through.

The sauce needed some help, in my opinion. I added some dried hot pepper flakes from last year's garden, and some brown sugar as the molasses didn't add any sweetness at all (only dark flavor. Once I mixed in the chicken and simmered per the recipe, I thought that did the trick. These little tweaks gave the sauce more depth and made it delicious. I will make it again with these additions.

It was easy and tasted great. I liked that the sauce wasn't the sugary BBQ bottled sauce. Give it a try!

This recipe is tasty and easy for a weeknight meal. Probably wouldn't serve it to guests but my family liked. Think I will try using honey next time for a slightlty sweeter taste.

This dish has great flavor. It's so close to a pulled pork sandwich that you almost can't tell that it's not pork or healthy for you. I didn't have any liquid smoke on hand, but it still tasted great and the 25 mins you spend cooking down the sauce and incorporating the chicken into the sauce creates a thick, rich, and deep flavor. Thanks again, Ellie.
