Add Garlic and more ginger at the beginning - frozen peas and red bell pepper. Great!

This is one of the best fixes for one who often craves Asian cuisine! My family and I enjoy this dish at least twice a month.

Average at best. Not up to Ellie's standards. Will use reviewers' comments next time.

This is SOO GOOD! I followed the advice of some other reviewers. I added garlic and chili paste and more ginger at the beginning. I also added red bell pepper and (frozen peas in with the cabbage, and fresh cilantro at the end. I had most of these ingredients from an organic farm share, and this recipe helped to incorporate almost all of them. This dish is so tasty! I disagree though with others, it could have even had more cabbage in it. Maybe 6-7 cups.

I would give this 3 1/2 stars. It has potential but, need a little doctoring in our opinion. Just a little. I added frozen organic peas in addition to the cabbage. I also salted as I cooked and put some red pepper flakes in the saute' with the chicken and cabbage. I used chicken instead of shrimp. Lastly, as another person mentioned I used a little extra sesame oil and soy sauce. We also put a Siracha on top for spice and flavor at the end. I put the chives in the the rice at the very end along with some peanuts instead of sesame seeds. Good stuff.

Loved the nutty flavor of this! Noted others said it was bland, so I just added some garlic & black pepper - it came out great. Can't wait to get more cabbage & shrimp!

This was OK. It was simple to make but I felt it lacked flavor. Would maybe use this as a basis but add in more vegetables and more seasoning.

I thought this was a very good recipe with great flavors. I did not have any scaillons so I used yellow onions although next time I would use scaillons. I added garlic and shredded carrots and reduced the fresh ginger to 1/2 tablespoon. I think this would be excellent with chicken also....in fact, probably better! I think adding broccoli and/or other vegetables might be good also.

nothing special. I thought it could use some more flavor...more ginger perhaps? But it is something you can really whip up fast
