This recipe was very easy, quick, and delicious! We didn't have some of the ingredients but I was able to use what I had in the pantry to supliment and it worked out great! I didn't have tomato sauce so used diced tomatoes in juice and added a little extra water instead. I also used white wine vinegar instead of red. The tomato chunks added some nice texture along with some chopped up carrots and celery to get in veggies for the kiddos. I doubled the recipe to have left overs which have been great thaw-and-serve for busy nights, and lunch for my husband. it's a perfect meal to throw together!

My family has enjoyed these sloppy joes very much. We prefer whole wheat pocket bread over the hamburger buns, though.

This was so easy to make & the flavor was great. I didn't have a jalapeno on hand so I used some hot sauce instead. This truly was the best version I have ever tried. I will be making this again because the family thought it was great (and they're picky!

Try using hot dog buns... they're a little less sloppy!

Great flavor and spice is just right if you use the whole jalapeno. I leave out the beans due to my husband's intolerance to them. I grew up putting prepared mustard on my sloppy joes and love it on these as well. I serve with a crunchy salad to get the fiber back, and dill pickles on the side, get the best whole grain buns and you've got a winner. Great as a left over for lunch the next day, just zap and serve on a bun with crunchy carrots, celery and fruit. EXCELLENT!

I love the taste and the texture of this recipe. This wipes out the horrible memories of Manwich when I was a kid.

Surprisingly really, really good. I'm not a big sloppy joes fan...when I think of sloppy joes, I think of the canned kind. I decided to give this a try and my husband and I loved it. My picky 2-year old like it too!

I used ground turkey instead of the beef and it was amazing. I'm kind of a health nut and I love all of Ellie's recipes. I even put the sloppy joe mixture into a whole grain pita pocket. I make this every week!
