This is the best Sloppy Joe recipe I have ever had. I brought some to work for lunch , and everyone wanted the recipe. Those who made it loved it. Thanks Ellie!

These Sloppy Joe's are the best! So much better than the canned or packaged stuff & really easy to make. My husband loves when I make these & I recently made them for my sister's family & they all loved too. Also, this is a great recipe for Weight Watchers. It is only 4 pts!!

My husband was very negative about this because I told him it was a low calorie version, but he actually liked it. He says he gives it an 8 on a scale of 1-5. I really enjoyed this meal. We don't like onions much, so I only used half the onions and it was delicious. I am going to make this on a regular basis.

I have recently become more calorie conscious and today was prepared to make my usual manwich and barbeque sauce sloppy joes. The calorie content of the manwich and barbeque sauce was unacceptable so I went looking for something better. While I did make several substitutions in this recipe, I found it MUCH better! Yes, a bit more work than the manwich but SOOOO worth it for taste and calories. I cooked the meat and veggies and then threw it all in the crockpot with the other ingredients during a quiet point in the afternoon. I subbed with ground turkey, pizza sauce and diced tomatoes with green chilies becasue that is what I had. My tomato paste had added garlic and stuff too. I found that it was a BIT spicy but that may becasue of my extra spices. I loved the addition of the beans and I will be making it again!

I enjoyed the flavors of this recipe and the prep time was minimal. However, I did not add any beans. In my opinion, anything with meat and beans is a chili recipe. BTW, my "meat and potatoes" hubby loved it! I did not have red wine vinegar so I added red wine as a substitute.

It definitely didn't taste terrible. Even after all the different ingredients it still tasted like it was missing a little something but couldn't figure out what. I didn't add the whole can of beans because I felt like it would be too much. I did use 2 cups of tomato sauce instead of 1 1/2 so I don't know if that could've compromised the flavor or not. I am looking forward to trying the leftovers to see if the flavors might have developed more.

I wanted a more gourmet-type recipe for sloppy joes. This seemed like it would be full of flavor with all the different ingredients, but I found it kind of bland. Will go back to the old way I made them.

These were the best sloppy joes I've ever made. Not too heavy, with a sweet/sour accent.

A new staple in my house. Simple to make but the flavor is incredible.
