Spot on recipe for producing the traditional taste of sloppy joes. We used some ground elk intead of burger for our base to reduce the fat content even more, but otherwise followed the recipe to a tee. My wife says it's a do-again.

I've actually never made Sloppy Joes before. After watching Ellie's show, I was inspired to try them and to make healthier foods for my family. Initially my husband was not exactly thrilled at the thought of having Sloppy Joes for dinner. But he had to agree that they were very good. My children enjoyed them also, especially as they had never had Sloppy Joes before. Ellie's Sloppy Joes are a delicious and healthy alternative to In-n-Out burgers! Thanks Ellie!

These were so yucky! Very bland - and I tried to flavor it a little more with grill seasoning - but it still didn't work.... No one in my family would eat them.

This was a very good recipe that was a great and healthy alternative to the "mystery sauce" you find on the store shelves. I made it without beans, and it was delicious.

and I don't like traditional sloppy joes. Beware, though, this makes quite bit of filling. My husband and I ate it for several days, but we both really enjoyed it.
