I made this recipe last night for dinner and my picky toddler loved it! We are used to heat, so one chile (we used a Serrano was barely noticed, but I think you could leave the chile out completely and the recipe would taste just as good.

Though very tasty, it was too spicy for me. I would put maybe a third of a whole jalepeno, not a whole. Whew! The rest of the family and friends enjoyed it. Would make again, just with adjustments.

I love this recipe! It is so easy to make and the sauce is comprised of things I always have on hand, so it's a great one to have up my sleeve. I also love that half of the protein is in the form of beans, which also makes it budget-friendly as well as healthier than additional meat. At first I was skeptical, but it's actually really good with pinto beans!

I also love this recipe and have been able to mix it up a bit. I have used ground turkey to make it even less calories and omit the beans(I think the beans make it taste like chili. You can also freeze it and just add a little beef stock to add some moisture back while warming it up. :

I loved how easy this was to put together for a quick meal. Very tasty, I didn't have the hot pepper but it was still delicious.

I've made this a couple of times, it has great flavor. I didn't add the beans, and I add a lot more on the spices. Great recipe my husband and kids love it..

Absolutely delicious. Omitted the beans (didn't have them, but the consistency was perfect w/o them. Just enough heat from jalapeno to liven it up. My girls (even the one who doesn't like spice LOVED them. So easy to make, too!

I made this recipe for the first time and it was really good. I served it on whole wheat buns and with a simple salad it was a great meal. It will diffently be added to a favorite meal.
