A keeper! The perfect cocktail, snacking nut recipe. Easy, healthy, delicious, versatile. In this version, I prefer fresh rosemary chopped VERY fine to the dried herb. And you can change out the spice mix to suit your fancy. Sometimes I use a combo of cumin powder, ground coriander and a touch of cayenne.

You can also change up the combo of nuts. Sometimes I make this with all pepitas - with the cumin spice blend it is really wonderful both for snacking and for tossing into salads.

I often find I want to use about 1 1/2 tsp more maple syrup than called for, depending on the nuts.

For the several batches I've made, I've never cooked it as long as the recipe specifies, to avoid over baking. This is a winner recipe. I enjoyed Ellie Krieger's show when she was on air.

Delicious. Watch them carefully, I wasted a batch by burning them.

Real simple and love the delicate combination of sweet, salt and spice. I scaled the recipe about 8 times and packed little boxes as holiday gifts for co workers. They loved them!

I generally do not care much for spiced nut recipes that rely on sugar but was very pleasantly surprised by how well such a small amount of syrup coated the nuts without making them too sweet. The spices can easily be adjusted to taste--for instance, I prefer a bit more cayenne for a little more bite--but this is an easy, tasty recipe. Just love Ellie.

Wow, I was actually surprised at how much I like these spiced nuts. When making the nuts, it smelled very strong of curry so I was worried that the spice would overpower the flavor of the nuts. Boy was I wrong. The ratio of sweet (maple syrup to spice is absolutely fantastic. I didn't have pumpkin seeds or dried rosemary so I didn't put those in. I also didn't have cayenne pepper, but I used my hot chilli powder instead (and only used an 1/8 of a teaspoon since it was "hot". I also probably used 2 tablespoons of maple syrup because it came out of the bottle so quickly. The nuts dried with a beautiful glaze to them. My husband loved the flavors. This recipe is a keeper!

I love this combination. I had to measure out the serving size so I would not eat all of them in one sitting.

I made this for a family gathering, everyone loved it, and my mom wanted the recipe. So I forwarded the Food Network link to her. My mom, who is a professional massage therapist, just told me that she made these Spiced Nuts for her clients as a holiday gift, and has gotten so many compliments on the recipe!!

Nice job, Ellie, it's great to have a snack recipe that doesn't add fat, like alot of nut recipes do. Don't get me wrong, I love butter as much as the next person, but sometimes it's nice to eat well and feel good too.

I made these for my boyfriend, my twin sister, and myself, and we all loved them! I mixed the nuts with black and golden raisins, dried tart cherries, dried dates, and dried apricots. The fruit combination complimented the spices perfectly. Try this recipe and you won't be disappointed.

I actually didn't make this recipe but received these nuts in a goodie basket as part of a Christmas gift. I loved them! I came searching for the recipe on the website hoping I could find it here. They are great!
