I also tripled the balsamic & evoo & marinated the strawberries for 10 minutes before serving. I added candied pecans to the top of the salad. I also didn't use the basil.

This is my new favorite salad, especially b/c the strawberries are in season and are perfect!

I loved this salad, but my husband makes me keep out the basil.

This was a delicious dinner for two people -- I tripled the amount of balsamic, salt, and pepper for more taste.

This salad is so simple and easy yet so tasty and refreshing! My whole family loved it! I let the strawberries sit in the balsamic vinegar like some of the reviews had suggested and it tasted just perfect with the lettuce and the basil. What a lot of flavor in a little salad. I will be using this one often. As usual, Ellie has combined delicious and healthy with fast and easy.

My 22 year old son does not like tomatoes. I had him over for a nice "mom" dinner (he lives on his own now and I use the time to teach him recipes. He made this salad himself and was skeptical but it was easy and delicious!! He told me he will definitely make it again, as will I. The strawberries mixed in with the balsamic dressing were sweet and yet had depth like a good wine (we let them sit 5 minutes before tossing. We also served the zucchini ribbon pasta from Ellie and balsamic roasted chicken from Giada. A great meal!

I just love this salad. I used a little more balsamic because i love this vinegar. As long as the strawberries are looking good in the store I will make.

I have eaten this salad at least 2x a week since I saw the receipe on Elle's show. It is a light and excellent treat. I eat it as my main course and it totally satisfies me. You have to try it to believe how great it is as a quick and easy meal.

This salad was awesome as a side to a pasta dish I made, and even better as a lunch I brought to work the next day! Delicious.

I wasn't sure if this recipe was going to mix well together, but after tasting it I will never doubt Ellie again. It's light and sooooo good!
