This really is the best burger I ever ate. I used fresh mozzarella balls chopped and 2 green onions chopped. The cheese really makes the meat moist and that is a must for turkey. The patties held together great. No egg and no bread crumbs. Kosher salt and extra black coarse pepper and viola. Fantastic.

I had every intention of proceeding with mozzarella, but I also had smoked gouda in the fridge and it just sounded so much better with roasted red pepper. And, wow, I'm happy I made that change. It was phenomenal. The strong smoked flavor of the gouda was perfect with the red pepper. I also seasoned the ground turkey with some salt and pepper, and as an afterthought some grilling seasonings as well. I also added an egg to the ground turkey since I was concerned that the patties wouldn't hold together.
This recipe is really great, and very easy. I won't need to look at this recipe again to make it! We topped our burgers with one slice of tomato, and it needed nothing else. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. I served them with a side of julienned zucchini mixed with the remaining roasted red pepper, which was a nice complementary side. I will definitely be making this again.

Overall pretty good. I agged an egg yolk (1 for a little extra moisture as I had a little over 1 1/4 lb of extremely lean turkey. I also pureed the peppers and both nild cheddar and mozzarella together to form a kind of pimento cheese consistency. the burgers were monsters and took a few minutes longer to cook. As usual,2 of the leaked the cheese mixture and were a little on the dry side which was corrected by adding extra cheese. when you think they are sealed...seal them again ! lol.

Much better than your everyday turkey burger. I used cajun seasoning in the turkey and provolone cheese with great success.

Wonderful! I've made these in so many variations, but the best one was using spicy red pepper relish and smoked provolone. I season the turkey with grated shallots and greek seasoning before I form the patties. I get requests for these every year at hubby's work BBQ, have made 50 of these at a time, which equates to 100 patties...super time consuming, but a HUGE winner!

The roasted red peppers are AMAZING in this burger and add a nice surprise to the middle. To add some spice and flavor, I added Creole seasoning to the turkey before making them into patties and then grilled an onion that had been topped with olive oil and Creole seasoning. Yummm!
