My husband felt it was too sweet, and my son didn't touch it. To do it over, I'd just do plain mashed sweet potatoes, and skip the added ingredients.

I liked it, but it was pretty dessert-like.

I boiled the sweet potatoes rather than steamed them, and I used a 9X13 pan so I increased the topping. I also added about 2 tablespoons of melted butter to the topping to hold it together better. People really liked this dish. I think that like many sweet potato dishes it was even better the second day.

Fantastic. Not overly sweet, special enough, and unanimously enjoyed by all family and friends. Easy too make, too.

This was a hit at Christmas! I used Pumpkin Pie Spice, increased the pecans to 3/4 cup, & omitted the brown sugar. Everyone loved it (even those who don't like sweet potatoes. A real keeper!

I made this recipe twice so far and it turned out great both times!

The first time I made the recipe exactly as it's written -- perfect.

The second time I drizzled a little maple syrup on the over the potatoes and then topped with the pecan mixture -- also very delicious.

SOOOO GOOOOD! If you don't want your sweet potato casserole to taste like sweet potato pie filling, this is for you. I love that it doesn't have tons of butter, cream, sugar and marshmallows masking the great flavor of the star of the show ... that sweet potato. It's delicious and you feel good about eating. No guilt here.
