I have high expectations from the food shows I watch. 5 is perfection - no tweaking, great results.

The estimate of rpeparation time is low.
I increased the spices to make a good, mild chili. The results were wonderful.

I also added some tofu the mix od beans and meat.

I used ground turkey instead of beef, it was wonderful, filling tasted great.

This recipe is so flavorful and hearty you won't miss the greasy fattening chili recipes you've had in the past. Very filling too. It's easy to substitute some of the ingredients to your preference and it's still good after you freeze it.

The consistency and texture of this chilli turned out beautifully. However, I had to cook it at a much lower temperature setting that indicated in the recipe because it was burning. Also, I found this did Not have flavour or taste. I had to double the oregano, add paprika, garlic salt, and I think Sugar would have been a good idea. I hope my suggestions help because I was very disappointed.

I was actually surprised at how great this chili turned out. It was very tasty! My wife is not a chili fan, and even she was impressed. If you enjoy a little more spice definately use 2 chipoltes when preparing. I topped with shredded Mexican Four Cheese blend and a dollop of sour cream. Delicious.

After reading all the great reviews I expected this to be Fabulous..but after making it, I felt that it lacked flavor. I was expecting it to be a little spicey, but It didnt taste like there was hardly any. And I do not care for very much spice, but I like a little. I read what other readers wrote and added some corn, chili powder, and garlic. I think it was more like a version of taco soup than chili. It was soupy not thick and hearty like I would imagine chili is. Then again..I cooked it in the slow cooker..so that probably added more water.
