This chili recipe is easy and yummy. It is excellent on a cold, blustery evening or after a brisk walk in the wind. Even a small serving is very filling. The chipotle peppers add a very nice warming spice to the chili.

Wow. This was a really easy and tasty recipe. Tried both the adobo sauce and chili powder (not in the same batch! and both are good. Very fast to prepare. So healty and low in calories. Have made double batches of this. Thanks SO MUCH for the nutritional info you insert with each recipe. Let's have you on more than 1 day per week. Thanks again, Ellie, for a fantastic recipe. Keep them coming!!

This is the first time I ever made one of Ellie's recipes. I made a few adjustments. I browned the beef (96% lean separately so I could spoon off the fat - there was quite a bit to discard. Added a couple cloves of fresh minced garlic. I used 1/2 onion instead of 1 because. Also, I found that the flavor was not that hot/intense with just 1 chipotle so I added another one. I also added a couple tablespoons of chili powder blend that I had and it turned out really great! Tastes great even without cheese or guacamole (if you're dieting like me. You could feed a bunch of people for like $10.

I followed the recipe exactly and was not disappointed! This is a delicious and healthy recipe. I might tweak it a little by adding another chipolte pepper(my husband thought it could use a little more "fire". I loved the "smokey" flavor of the chipolte with the sweetness of the carrots and red peppers. Will make this often! Also will start watching Ellie more often. Can use more healthy recipes to try.

I make chilli at least once a week during football season. This one was AMAZING. My husband loved it too. It's a lot of chopping, so I cheated and used the food chopper (Pampered Chef--it's great. I also put in two peppers for some extra spice. Great with some sour cream stirred in.

Healthy, flavorful and easy!! My husband and his co-worker LOVED it. This is a true keeper. I used 99% lean ground turkey since that is what I had on hand and it was wonderful. I just added a small amount of olive oil, but it really didn't need it. Thank you so much Ellie!

this chili is tasty, hearty, and good for you!
I added one garlic. and I sprinkled just a dash of salt on the veggies and on the meat. I don't like to salt my food at the end, I think it is better to salt during the cooking process.....

I trying to eat healthy now, and I am sure I will make this again.

another thing I like: it tells me the nutritional value per serving! makes it much easier to count my calories/fat.

This is a great nutritious chili recipe. The only change I made was to add several Tbsp of chill powder while it was simmering to season it up just a bit. It's a great and easy way to fit in almost half of the recommended fiber for the day. This also reheats really well.

This is one of the best chili recipes I've ever tried! I used ground turkey instead of beef and it turned out great. The smokey flavor from the chipotles and adobo sauce makes the recipe unique and delicious. It smelled great while cooking and tasted even better. I'll definitely be making this over and over again especially when the weather gets colder. I'd also like to see more of Ellie than just once a week-we need more health conscious shows on Food Network!
