I thought I had the world's best chile recipe--from Dudley's restaurant in Aspen, CO--up until now. But Ellie's recipe is 6 stars!!!! The combination of the beef, the 3 different kinds of beans (very important and the chipotle chiles in adobo sauce is just phenomenal!!! And all for 295 calories!!! I know some reviewers were worried that this recipe would be too smokey--I actually used 2 chiles and about 4 teaspoons of the sauce to make this chile really flavorful (and I had used no-salt added tomatoes. In any event, this is absoultely the best chile as far as flavor and texture is concerned. Please, Food Network, put Ellie on more often!!! Get rid of Sandra Lee!!! (The fake cook who cooks up all that unhealthy, "semi homemade" junk." We need more epidsodes with Ellie who keeps us eating well and healthy and beautiful! Thanks again, Ellie!!!

I have tried several chili recipes from various Food Network shows and this is by far the best one. I am done searching! This is a must try. It makes a whole lot of chili as well.

I am a vegetarian and made this with Morningstar Farms Recipe Crumbles instead of beef. I also added some garlic. It is thick and very flavorful. Will definately make ti again!

I use to make a simple chili. but, I never really loved to eat chili. But, this dish looked very fun to make and different from all others.
I just loved it. Especially with sour cream on the top of chili. The three diferrent type of bean make a huge different! and very healthy!!!

Very nice chili, the one adobo chili adds adequate warmth and depth to the pot. I didn't change a thing, and topped it with diced avocado, fresh tomatoes, lime wedges and light sour cream. Delicious!

This dish was easy to make, tasty, and filling. I altered the recipe a little by using ground turkey instead and more hot sauce to heat it up more

We will making this one again for sure! I was leary of the adobo sauce, it can be so overpowering, but it turned out very subtle in this recipe. This chili has tons of flavor! Your family will love it!

This is a wonderful chili recipe. The smokey flavor of this is a wonderful new taste experience. This recipe is very budget friendly feeding my whole family for two days and then some. I love this recipe.
