For the first time making chili this recipe was great! Made it just as shown except I added chili powder and fresh garlic! Yum! Will definitely be my go-to chili recipe!

Wow! I have made this twice and it is delicious! I make it exactly as the recipe requests. The first time, I was hesitant about putting the chili with adobo because just the fumes alone almost made me faint, but it adds just the right amount of zip. Even my mom who is hyper-sensitive to anything spicy loves it.

Great! I ahve made this twice now and it is really good --- Since some said it was watery, I added another can of tomatoes in place of the water.

I have made this recipe a few times and it has always been a hit. Last week, I made it again, and it was the best ever. I made it in the slow cooker instead (which made it even better and substituted the red pepper for green and yellow (which I had on hand. I also added a pickled jalapeno. Delicious! Although, sticking to the original recipe is also yummy.

The leftover are especially wonderful. We made chili quesadillas and burritos.

Very good and easy to make. However, next time I think I'll add a little more heat.

Great flavors and easy to make. A few noted that it came out a bit watery so I substituted water for 1 1/2 cup of beef broth. This is a keeper.

Wonderful, but I didn't follow the recipe as is. I just couldn't fathom the idea of chili without chili powder! I added about 1/4c chili powder with the cumin, and 2 cloves chopped garlic with the chipotle. I think my husband and I would have really missed the chili powder had I not decided to add it. With my modifications, this is something that I will make again and again.

My family loves this recipe! I substitute light beer for 1/2 of the water and it adds more flavor and thickens it up a lot. I also use white beans and kidney which are my favorites.

Slamin! I made this yesterday in my new dutch oven. It was simple, quick, and hearty. Oh, yeah and tasted great. I really enjoyed the flavor adobo added.

This chili was absolutely delicious and so easy to make. I did substitute the juice from a 28 1/2 oz can of diced tomatoes (which was about 1 1/2 cups for the 2 cups of water that it called for but kept everything else the same. My family loved it and this recipe will be used in our house again and again.
