These were pretty tasty for a healthy cookie. I used dark chocolate chips and no nuts instead. The only problem me and my family had with these was that they were a bit dry. Yummy over all.

They are fantastic! I replaced the chocolate chunks with white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips they were great, huge hit with the family.

I was not impressed. I followed the recipe except for the whole wheat pastry flour, which I did not have nor could find in a grocery store. So, I just used all-purpose flour and the cookies came out dry and hard :( I don't know what went wrong but I won't be making them again. I was looking forward to some healthy, moist chocolate cookies.

I love these "healthy cookies"! Second time I made them I added 1 tsp. of brewed coffee (Ina's tip. It really intensified the chocolate flavor. Always watching my weight so I try to eat just two. Don't have to feel guilty about eating cookies. Love Ellie's recipies.

These were great! I had to myself back from eating them all in one go as I am trying to carry them for lunch through the week. I gave one to my friend and she begged for another but I had to restrain her from grabbing another one. They are very moist, quick and easy! Above all it is healthy!!!

Fantastic! We altered the recipe slightly. We didn't have any milk chocolate chips (we prefer either semi sweet or dark chocolate chips, so we just doubled the amount of dark chocolate chips. We only baked the cookies for 10 minutes, so that they stay chewy rather than too hard. Also, we used a cookie scooper to easily spoon out perfect portions. We'll definitely be making these again. Thank you Ellie for this healthier version.

Amazing! I would never guess this was a "slimmed down" version! Very chocolatey and even passed the test of my two year old!

This is a solid recipe for chocolate cookie lovers. We didn't have whole wheat flour so just doubled the white flour. The result was a tasty cookie with a decent amount of crunch. Keep in mind the recipe only makes 24 small cookies, so you might want to double it if you are feeding a large group.

WOW! I just started a diet and was pretty bummed about not being able to cater to my raging sweet tooth until I made these bad boys. They are awesome! I, too used whole wheat flour instead of the pastry flour, I used almonds instead of the pecans, and my gas oven runs hot, so i cut the cook time down to 9 min. Perfection! I can't wait to try them again with the dried fruit suggestions below.
