Yum Yum Yum!!! Added some dried cherries (but left out the nuts and they came out perfect! Can't even tell they are a slimmed down recipe!

These were so good! They were just chocolatey enough for me and my family - and perfect with a glass of milk. I only had dutch processed cocoa so I used 1/3 c of that. I also had 72% dark chocolate (and I think I used more than 2 oz. However, I did not add pecans. My sister is very picky and she loved them. I will definitely keep this recipe! Thanks Ellie!!!

These cookies are wonderful!!! Delicious with dried cherries in the place of some or all of the chocolate chunks.

These are great...and to the reviewer below, they are 3 points each for weight watchers.

Wish I knew the nutrient content! These were excellent. I had semi sweet and dark chocolate chips on hand. Worked well. Will definitely make again.

Props to Ellie Krieger for, as usual, she's succeeded in creating a new healthy version of a classic favorite. :- This is an excellent and super simple chocolate cookie recipe-- my brother and I almost ate them all! For my second batch, I actually made them wheat-free and low-cholesterol by using brown rice flour and using only the egg white, and they were just as superb! Definitely a must-try!

P.S. For the person's previous question down the page: you can purchase whole-wheat pastry flour at a Whole Foods or pretty much any local health food store. You can usually find it sold by the Red Mills brand.

I can't believe this cookies are relatively healthy and taste so good! They're actuallly addictive. Since we tried this recipe about a year ago, it's the only cookie recipe we use. I usually double the recipe and use half of the base mixture with other toppings such as white chocolate chips and pistachios or macadamia. Sometimes I use white whole wheat flour instead of the whole wheat pastry and all purpose flour and they still turn out delicious.

These are easy and yummy - very chocolately. I used only regular flour and substituted chocolate chips for the chopped chocolate pieces. Still excellent. Highly recommend if you're craving some chocolate.

I did some substitutions, and these cookies still came out really good. I used just regular flour, equal parts of the sugars, and chopped up semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of using dark and milk chocolate. I basically worked with what I had in the pantry, and the cookies were yummy.
