I am addicted! They are always in my fridge and when I run out I have to make a new batch. I refuse to buy grocery store breakfast bars anymore, these are simply the best! My 13 y/o likes them too, what a bonus!

I'm a senior in high school, always looking for healthy and easy snacks to bring to school. I cannot wait to have these during the day.

I was a little worried these bars would be too bland or wheat tasting, but they are perfect! I think one thing that made a difference was that I couldn't find apricot preserves without any sugar. I think that the slightly more sugary topping brings out the flavors of the nuts and cherries. I made these on a Sunday to take into work for a healthier mid-afternoon snack, but I'm not sure how long they're going to last. I've already eaten two!

I've been making a double batch of these bars every 10-12 days for over a year now. My husband and I have one every morning for breakfast and we love them. They are so healthy and delicious. I have varied the recipe just a little. Since we grow pecans, I use pecans and dried cranberries and add one tablespoon of flax seed per batch. We look forward to enjoying these nutritious bars for years to come. I have shared this recipe with many people and everyone loves them and asks for the recipe. Thanks so much.

For a healthy bar, they were ok. Very filling and dense. I liked the texture and consistancy. It was just missing a little somehing, compared to the sugary ones in the store. Definately had a wheaty taste to it, which I'm getting used to already. I made then last night and they are almost gone between by husband and I having them for breakfast and as a afternoon snack. My 4 year old will not touch them. It will be easy to play around with different fruits, nuts and preserves. I think I'll try adding a various fruits next time. Maybe some raspberry extract or something....

Saw these posted on Facebook this morning and I just had to try them.! Took me about 10 minutes to make the batter, very easy. I did leave off the preserves because I thought it would probably be too messy. They are really good even without the preserves. One of my children loved them but I think the other was expecting it to be sweeter, like a cookie. Will definitely be making these again and I'll try different fruits and nuts. Oh and I used cherry flavored craisins because they were so much cheaper than dried cherries.

I found these bars to be quick to make and delicious to eat. They're not overly sweet, which I loved, and I hope they'll make a good breakfast bar with yogurt or fruit. I love them!
