This recipe had all the ingredients I love, was taste and an easy to follow recipe.
I always double or even triple the recipe and use them in so many different ways
    Thank you so much.

I made a double batch baking them on a cookie sheet so that I could give some away as gifts. I kept a jar full at home. They stayed fresh a lot longer than I thought. I kept grabbing one when I was eating breakfast on the run.

I used whole wheat pastry flour and these came out really well. They're supposed to be dense (it's a bar not a piece of cake, but they weren't heavy at all. I also used pecans instead of walnuts and orange marmalade instead of apricot preserves. They were a hit!

I made these the other day and tasted good. I just think they came out awfully heavy. are they supposed to be kinda heavy and moist in the middle?

This is a good recipe. I took one to work for my afternoon snack.

I thought it was great. I love the combo of the tart cherries, walnut and apricot topping. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was cause my husband didn't like it at all.

I made these the day after seeing them on the show. They turned out perfect. It was a bit challenging finding the wheat germ, but my local specialty grocery had it. I made it exactly as the recipe called the first time and it was wonderful. Not too moist, not too dry. I took them to work as snack bars. This weekend I made them again, switching the dried cherries for dried mixed berries, cranberries, blueberries and cherries. They smelled awesome while I was cooking them, they smelled even better after I put the apricot preserves on top. They are warming as I type this and my oh so picky husband is already demanding his share for his lunch snack!

I didn't have dried cherries, so I used dried apricots and it was great. I will make it again with the cherries to see which one my family likes the best. I didn't think it needed the apricot preserves on the top, I prefer a little crunchy on the top and the preserves made it softer. This is a great snack; I even packed a few bars in my purse when I had to catch a very early morning flight and I knew I wouldn't find anything nutricious at the airport.

I made these bars a couple of days ago. I did not like the taste or the texture. I added extra applesauce to prevent them from being dry and I thought they were still dry. No one in my family liked them. I tried them a day or two later and still did not like them. I am suprised they received so many good reviews.

I made these today. They turned out perfect. I think my silicone pan may have been a bit smaller than 7"x7" but they cooked to the perfect moistness. I thought they were perfectly sweet as well. I positively LOVE Ellie's approach to eating and nutrition. Hope to see new shows soon. I DVR and save each show :
