I happened to have all the ingredients on hand for this, and gave it a try a little reluctantly because I don't normally like savory and sweet (the dried cherries flavors together. I was pleasantly surprised! What a delicious salad! I crumbled some feta cheese on it, and ate it for dinner with a glass of dry rose wine. Wonderful, and so nutritious!

Unbelievable. Absolutely delicious. I did double the lemon juice and olive oil as it made a lot. I've passed on the recipe and we all fight over who's going to bring it to summer picnics.

I had never made wheat berries before. This recipe was great. My family & I loved it. It was tasty & satisfying, with lots of texture & crunch . The particular wheat berries I used were already partially cooked so it didn't take me quite as long to cook, which cut my prep time in half(at least. Great leftovers to take in my lunch. Yum...thanks Ellie.

I know Ellie will frown on this but I made a bunch of changes to this recipe based on what I had in the pantry. I subsituted Pistachios for walnuts and dried cranberries for the cherries. I made up extra "sauce" and ended up using it all, I guess because I didn't wait for the berries to cool before putting in the liquid it was soaked up? I also added more EVOO and lemon juice on the leftovers. I also added poached chicken and low fat fetta to make it a meal I could take for lunch.

I made this exactly as the recipe states and it was fantastic! My husband loved it too. This will be on regular rotation at our house - I am not changing a thing!

Delicious! My husband and I gobbled up this fantastic salad. I used lemon juice as well as balsamic vinegar, craisins, doubled the green onion, added lemon zest, and toasted sunflower seeds. Next time I'll combine wheat berries, apple, walnuts, and blue cheese. Also, the wheat berries took about an hour to cook. Thanks Ellie!

Pretty good. I had cranberries on hand and not cherries, and they are expensive. I can just feel my stress being relieved.

DELICIOUS! I love this recipe. I served it to my husband, who is a meat and potato guy and he loved it! Seems impossible knowing him! I served it to friends who loved it as well and who requested the recipe. They said they could eat it every day!

In a rush, I forgot to toast the walnuts. Can't wait to make it again with toasted walnuts. I may try cilantro also, but it truly doesn't need any adjustments. Thanks Ellie for helping me get whole grains in my husbands diet!

I was skeptical b/c we're new to eating vegan and I've never cooked a wheat berry in my life....I didn't think I'd ever even seen one before. But....b/c the reviews were so good and b/c we've gotten very sick of our regular old salads, we tried it. And were are so pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent dish!!!! I followed the directions to a T except my wheat berries only took about 45 mins to cook and my parsley was looking pretty sad so I added some fresh thyme and basil to make up for the lack of parsley. Oh, and the cherries were $12.99/lb so I went with dried cranberries ($4.99/lb instead. I'm eating this as I type and it is still a bit warm....yum! I bet it will be even better tomorrow (or later when it's cold. Try this recipe!!

This is really tasty! One thing I haven't seen suggested is using cilantro instead of parsley. I am fond of cilantro and the added flavor was awesome!
