I used Jenny O's taco seasoned grount turkey in this, reduced the chicken broth to two cans, and the result was perfect. I had never used hominy before in my life, but I'm glad I did.
I've also made it subbing 2 cans of roasted green chilis for the poblano peppers, and it turned out just as tasty!

Great Recipe. Like most others said I cut the recipe down to two cans of chicken broth and it was perfect. I also quadrupled the spice and it was still mild..dont skip on the hominy its awesome!!

We love to eat chili during football season because it will last all weekend--- except this chili was gone & fast! I used more meat than the recipe called for & it was delicious!

I made this last night for myself and my boyfriend ( who is violently allergic to anything that is healthy or not fried. I followed the recipe, but made a couple tweaks. I reduced the amount of chicken broth by about a 1/2 cup, and i used the normal chicen broth instead of the reduced-sodium. I'm glad i did, because it still needed plenty of seasoning in the end. I love heat, so i tripled the amount of cayenne, added 1 jalapeno, and plenty of hot sauce. If you like it mild, it is very mild on its own. Very good

Food Network, why can't we get new episodes of Ellie? This recipe is only 6 points on Weight Watchers and it tastes better than many of the WW recipes. And it is very filling too.

I stir the Greek yogurt in my chili which makes it a lot thicker and sort of creamy.

I made the White Chili for our friends. They raved about all the flavors and textures. I paired it with Cheddar Cheese Bread that I made in my Bread Machine. I received alot of compliments. Thank you, Ellie for Healthy Recipes that are loaded with flavor.

This was a good recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and am giving it four stars because it is less of a chili and more of a soup. Use less than 4c broth if you're expecting a hearty, chili consistency. The yogurt does chill out the spices and the hominy is surprisingly good. I ate it with tortilla chips which gave it the salty zing I've come to expect when eating chili. Overall, this is a flavorful dish that I will make again.

It doesn't look good but it does taste good. The addition of the freshly squeezed lime made a world of difference (I was surprised by how much! I won't have it without the lime now.

Looking at it, it does look like there is a lot of clear liquid but I found it was just the right ratio with the turkey. I think the title put me of a bit as I was thinking traditional chili which of course this isn't. So I presented it to my husband not in that way and it worked - he loved it - is now one of his favourite meals.

I think if you look at it like a stoup (to thick for a soup and to thin for a stew you get the idea.

In my favourite recipe list now.

My husband and I made this. We didn't have poblano peppers, but we had cubanelles, and half a green pepper so that's what we used. It was deilscious! My husband wasn't too sure about the hominy, but decided it was good. We thought the texture was great. We will make this on a regular basis!

After reading the reviews, I took the advice of others and altered the recipe. I added half a fresh jalapeno, ground ancho chili pepper, 2 more cloves of garlic, extra cayenne, and a bit of white pepper. I didn't have chicken broth so I used boullion w/water. The sauce was a bit on the thin side, so I did add a small amount of instant mashed potatoes to thicken it up. (I know that sounds strange but I swear it works and is much lower in fat that other thickeners! Next time I will try mashing half the beans first for extra thickening. I stirred in a quarter cup of cilantro at the end, and topped with strained non-fat plain yogurt, as I could not find the greek style. This chili came out great, I will be adding it to the colder weather rotation. We had an unexpected spring snowfall in Michigan today, so this was the perfect hearty low-fat warm up! My boyfriend loved it and went back for seconds. Thanks Ellie!
