    I have been searching for the perfect Lasagna recipe for years. This isn't what I was looking for in flavor and texture, but it was very very good. I made it exactly as written. I spent 3 hours preparing it. The lasagna looks just like the photo on the recipe. It is not saucy by any means but the flavors are tantalizing on the tastebuds. Don't be afraid to be generous when you season the ground beef. My husband loved it! I will make it again until I find the perfect recipe.

    I don't really cook, but had to make this as a special request from a friend. It turned out great! My only complaint is the preparation. It's a bit labor intensive for me. I'm quite busy so I had to prepare everything in 2 phases starting the day before I served it. But when it came to the final result, I'm glad I used this recipe!

    This lasagna is the best. Everyone that ate a piece at my house loved it. I only use the recipe now. There isn't really a word to describe this recipe because so many things come to mind when I start tasting it in my mind.

    Family liked this. I'd add some sharp provolone next time to "kick it up". The "essence" was a nice addition, and not having to work with cooked noodles was a major plus.

    this recipe was easy to follow and it got great responses. the lasagna was VERY hearty; it's hard to go for seconds when a 2x4 piece will fill you up. flavorful, but personally i thought it was a bit on the salty side. overall a good recipe, especially great for storing and eating for a few meals when you're too lazy to cook!

    This has become a dinner party favorite. Just freeze the leftover sauce for other recipes. Can't enjoy out of the jar marinara now.
