This is a great recipe. Very flavorful and the chicken is tender. I usually don't like Emeril recipes because the are too complicated but this was easy. I did add extra salt and peper.

I did not try the original recipe. I made some changes after reading the reviews. I actually added 1/3 cup of white wine, 2 tablesoons of flour, and a little extra salt. It turned out great! The garlic was not overwhelming at all. My boyfriend said that he could not tell it had the 40 cloves.

This recipe was OK. Nothing super delicious to me and not as flavorful as I would have liked. Won't make it again but would try other chicken leg recipes. It was not a bad recipe just not a keeper for me.

I cooked this dish twice for my family. While we loved the flavor and tenderness of the chicken and the mellow melt in your mouth garlic, But the sauce was lacking some flavor. The sauce was a little flat and not thickened at all. Next time I will double the lemon juice and zest, add some fresh thyme, and at least double the flour in the sauce. I used the leftover chicken, garlic and onion, added some roasted red peppers and red pepper flakes to made a FANTASTIC pizza (w/ sauce and cheese. The carmelized garlic and onions really shine on the pizza.

This was an easy recipe and the results were fantastic.

I substituted chicken thighs for this recipe and they were velvety tender when I took it out of the oven. I skinned the thighs before browning them, too. The next time I cook this I think I will use more thighs, rather than the eight that I used the first time. I may try to use boneless thighs too.

The ingredient that put this over the top for me was the fresh rosemary. I used four sprigs and it gave it a rich aroma and flavor.

I suspect that you could use this recipe with just about any cut of meat and have great results.

Very over-rated recipe. I actually thought it was surprisingly bland.

Pretty good recipe, but not as outstanding as I expected.
